Stardoll To Make Real Life Products?

Well, anyways.

I logged on Stardoll, checked my dollmail and what not and I was asked to participate in a survey. The survey asked me what I'd buy if the items on Stardoll were available to purchase in real life, if I'd rather go to an actual shop to buy them or buy them online, what brands I like on Stardoll, what would I think if they came out with dolls and toys and pencils and things... Basically they wanted opinions as to what else they could do to have all our dollar bills in their g-bangers.
But something about this survey got to me...
THEY WANTED TO KNOW HOW OLD I WAS? I can't remember whether they had years or they had age groups, but I can tell you know, there were no ages below 10! Which also makes me wonder; what would a 15 year old want to do with a baby pack of pencils and paper or toys? What would a 19 year old want to do with them!?!?

We Want LE Back...

The superiority of Limited Edition has slowly been deteriorating for a while now, with the last collection being fatally dismal. Heck, it hasn’t even sold out yet and it’s now a month or so since its release... 200 stardollars for a glowing pink unicorn? No thanks.

It’s not just the quality of the graphics nowadays despite the fact that they are horrendous, it seems as though Stardoll is trying to make Limited Edition costume-like.

Remember seasons 1-5?

They were all about creating stylish, chic and current items and looks for the more ravishing stardoll users who were well equipped with stardollars and willing to splash out on dangerously expensive items.

What I would personally love to see though is an LE Basics Collection... A simplistic collection full of must-have items that is graphically-designed to perfection and priced fairly. Little black dresses, daring platforms, maybe a bit of LV sprinkled here and there?

Stardoll focuses on the originality of the designs far too much nowadays with Limited Edition, which therefore means that the graphics are lacking and that’s what I want to see back. Please Stardoll?

OH MY GOD IT'S 2012! HOLY MAMA!

2011 flew by, literally. The year was so fast, but so amazing as well. I'm really happy with the new look Today's Top Trends has been given. So let's hope 2012 can be the year for TTT!

This year massive things are lined up for the blog. Our very first TTT Fashion Weekend will be held in late January. (later this month!) and TTT; Model Ambitions (Today's Top Trend's very own modelling competition) will be kicking off in early February, maybe even earlier!

And can I just say... man it's hard to organise a fashion weekend, so nevermind a week! Props to Becka and Mary for organising a whole week of it! Roll on 2012! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And to stick to my roots, I'm introducing another french brand, which I love and wear. You may say I'm always posting about french brands... but it's my country, I feel proud to live here and I believe that everyone should be proud of their origins. And our common passion is fashion, so today let me introduce you : Zadig & Voltaire.

In a historic point, Zadig & Voltaire has been created in 1996 by Thierry Gillier. Your question is : where is the brand's name from, then?Well, all the french knows the answer, but I'm not sure that people from other countries could know that. Voltaire is actually a french author, and one of his books is called Zadig. Thierry Gillier just thought about this name because Zadig is the character of the book, and he's described as a very classy and good dressed man.

I am shocked. I brought in my friends Christmas presents the other day and was stopped by a girl who I am quite good friends with. She turned to me with a very puzzled gaze and said" Presents! Already, but it is only December? What! I meant a week until Christmas." Ah she always manages to make me giggle. It was then my turn to look puzzled, it is a week until Christmas but many people have not realized just how close the holiday is or have they bought their presents! I love Christmas and have been ready since November, because I am just that sad, however I wanted to bring the holidays to TTT.

These are some of my favourite christmas songs.

Lolita? Back? Again?

I'm surprised this hasn't been published yet.

If you do not know who Lolita is, you're with suffering from some strange mental condition, or you're a noob on Stardoll. She's quite well known as the biggest fame whore on Stardoll. Her name was Miss_LolitaF She was a welite, she became elite, she was an attention seeking bitch! But we all loved her... one way or another.

Well, she always departed dollywood and came back. Left and came back again! Numerous amount of times. They even had to invent a new number!

Well, after returning from putting her account on survival mode from "hackers," she then, all of a sudden... left.

But when I was talking to this random chic who works under ICON, or whatever it is, she referred me to speak to "Lolita."
I was surprised for two reasons. One, she spoke to me like this "Lolita," girl was well known around Stardoll. Secondly, Miss_LolitaF is the only Lolita that I know.

So, when I searched for Lolita's account, which I knew already was deleted, I found this...

This particular member caught my eye. Yes, I know there are so many fakes out there on Stardoll, but this one just had a certain ring towards it...
I went onto her page to investigate further.

Now doesn't this look interesting?
Same grammar and all, but different doll. I don't think Lolita would have had a different doll if she returned.

It says on her presentation, that she had problems in real life, resulting in termination of her Stardoll account.

What also got to me. If this is the real Lolita, wouldn't she have made a huge comeback, instead of just coming back.

There have been no guestbook comments, no blog posts, no friend requests or anything.

So I'm leaving you guys up as the jury.

Is this "Lolita," the real deal, or just some bitch pretending to be her.

On the Subject of LE...

(Yes, this is my old banner. Kind of prefer this one, not too sure...)

I was just wondering...
Is this the slowest ever selling out collection? (Excluding LE Decor.)

After all, the collection usually sells out in a lot less than 24 hours, this one has been out for 4 days and still has numerous items remaining, 3 of which being clothes. I definitely prefer the idea of just having clothes in one collection; and decor in the other. Because after all, if it is a mixed collection, people tend to the purchase the clothes, and totally forget, or don't even realise, that there is random pieces of furniture in the background.

I'm really not surprised this collection isn't selling out though. Some of it is really badly made, I like some things, but quite a few are tacky. Then it's overpriced. 120 for an ugly pair of gold boots? 120 for an ugly lamp? 200 FOR A GLOWING UNICORN?! And then 100 for a tiny lion statue? Even the interiors are cheaper than that!

What happened to all the clothes being as amazing as this...?

Yes, well I know people hate me, but this is the first time someone was too scared to say it in person and make a fanclub. This image is the presentation of "ihatewooldoor". More comical than insulting I think. Now I don't know who this could be. I've abused/harassed/upset alot of people on Stardoll, in person actually, but does this person have a name?

She thinks she knows me, and everything that I would tell her. I don't know her, well actually, it could be a him... And the part where it speaks about nude graphics... I HATE nude graphics! They are so overrated now! It's all like "Look at me! I have my tits out!" Pssh!

This person has a name. Someone from New Zealand would know who has won covergirl 10 times.

Personally, I think she's lying about that. I will give 100sds to who can tell me who it is. No joke. Also, I'd like to thank EssRox for entering my competition. You will be in Monster magazine sometime soon.

I loved the emotions and thought you told me you put into your entries and in the end I had to go with the entry that moved me the most.

What "inspired" me:

My graphic has a clear message, I don't think that any additional caption is needed. Basically it's about self harm - many people who are bullied, rejected, or anyhow unhappy with themselves or their life, are self harming, injuring, however you'd call it. They keep it a secret, and keep on doing it - as time goes by, their cuts are getting deeper(they're cutting deeper). They hope that the physical pain will make the mental one fade away, but it never happens. I've gone through all I wrote here, I was keeping it a secret, untill my mom found bloody tissues, and I had to tell her about it. It wasn't the best thing ever to do, but it probably saved my life. This is why I think self harm isn't the right way to deal with such pain. People should speak about their problems to someone they trust, instead of releasing the pain with cutting. Also in the same time, I think it's very wrong to think that cutters belong to the emo subculture. Some may, but not all do. Emo as a stereotype, label,... makes you pretty much a social reject, words can hurt too.

Not only was your entry beautifully made and represent exactly what you were saying, the story behind it was inspirational and you had put real time into it.

To me, this is a marketing scheme to plant the seeds of temptation within the minds of non-superstars. Of course, It's a good thing, in that they'll get to pick up a nice item here and there; it's also a bad thing, in that there will be an increase of Superstar-only items. That's why Stardoll are so quick to stress that "The Superstar membership is still incredibly valuable."

And of course, it is. At first glance, I was ready to launch into a full blown tirade about why the newfound availability of Stardollars to non-superstars undermines the worth of Superstar accounts. Upon further reasoning, I've found that it's pretty much the same thing.

Let's look at the Stardoll hierarchy:

Royalty:
Same as superstar but with a useless club and a useless diamond. Ooh, shiny!

Superstar:
Penthouses, beach villas, extra rooms, Starbazaar, special clothes, special furniture... wait a minute, this sounds familiar...

Stardollars:
Still the currency of the aforementioned groups, but now with added temptation.

Starcoins:
Confusing, to say the least. They're the pennies of the people, but you can also convert your dollars into them to pay pretty much the same price you were paying anyway, give or take. Oh well, at least you can earn these.

So in essence, yes, you'll get the access to (a few) Stardollar items when you sign up. But once your initial amount is gone, it's gone. This is, in my opinion, simply a very calculated move from Stardoll - making them look like the good guys by giving everyone the access to Stardollars when in all actuality, it's meant to give you a small taste of the supposed "high life" before never seeing that kind of wealth again. Unless you buy Superstar, of course.

In conclusion:
Nothing's changed. Just Stardoll being Stardoll.

Then, at the F/W 2011-2012 Fashion Week, GaGa was there, walking on the runway while Born This Way and Government Hooker were the songs of the night. For the last Fashion Week (S/S 2012), GaGa wasn't there but she left a video...

As Winter arrives and Stardoll is left bare without any upcoming fashion lines or new collections, and the lack of vibrant new magazines, I came to a decision that TTT should have it's very own fashion week! Taking into consideration the fact that Today's Top Trends is a blogging experience based around fashion, I think a week filled with fashion would be totally amazing, right?!

I know I'm going to get people saying I'm copying SFW, but in the real world there is numerous different fashion weeks! Obviously, Stardoll Fashion Week will remain the main one, but there's always rooms for more. TTT-FW is still in early planning stages, but if you are interested in participating drop us a comment below! When I was younger, about six to eleven, I had always planned to go live in Tokyo, Japan or Hong Kong in China when I was older. However, after my first trip back to America in 10 years I feel in love with it and I supposed I would move there and pursue a career in teaching and writing. Recently I have found a passion for Asian culture again and wish I could speak Korean or Mandarin Chinese. ( I may try to learn it, but it will be really hard on my own).

This lead me to take a look at the Spring/Summer Fashion Week in Beijing (China), which finished just a few days ago. The Fashion week, which lasted for ten days, doesn't include many of the well known brands we would look out for, but focuses on designers closer to home and helps them get their brand into the spotlight.

This is helping designers in China sell garments and it also helps with the fabric industries, that although making many of the worlds clothing demands, get a small fraction of the profit.

Another interesting fact was that there were a very large number of male collections on the catwalk. These featured clothes that were practical, but the women's wear was much more elaborate and Haute Couture. The models had smiles in many cases and struck fun poses, something not often seen in other fashion weeks.

I am not sure if it appears this way to anyone else, but to me the clothes have quite a different style to clothes seen in New York, Paris, Milan and London. There is a large focus on big skirts, gold detailing and oriental patterns. It is nice to see this seasons fondness for hats is evident there too. In many you can see where designers have stayed true to Asian styles, but many have a modern twist.

LE Decor

Okay, so I may be a little behind on the times with this one, but there has been a new batch of Limited Edition!!! furniture released into the starplaza. Some things are nice, some things aren't, but the one thing that caught my eye was the painting of Michael Jackson - and not in a good way. I can't help but feel that, even though I'm not a fan in any shape or form, that it is in poor taste and is just a way to capitalise on a dead man, long after he actually passed. Maybe that's just me though.

This particular LE decor collection seems to be all over the place, too. What exactly does a hi-tech elevator (which I will admit is pretty damn cool. Imagine if it actually functioned as a way to get from room to room. I hope it does, but I won't know because I'm not -ahem- investing…) and sleeping deer in a basket have in common? The animals may be cute - I always miss the bloody owls - but you'd think they'd be more folksy then futuristic. I just wish the designers would get on a theme and stick to it, because as it stands, all I'm getting is 85% ~futuristic!~ and 15% what the actual heck is that? Speaking of which…

What in fresh paperdoll hell is this?!

If anyone wants to translate the gibberish on this monstrosity, I'd be most happy to hear why anyone would purchase a chalk board covered in such intellectual ramblings as "Tik Tok" and "Ohana" and "Ring" and the Stardoll logo and the LE logo and… oh, I give up.

Edit: Ah! I almost missed out on the chance to complain about ridiculous prices. 200sd for a circular bed? I kid you not, folks. Dear Stardoll: unless I can redeem this bed for diamonds in real life, you can forget it. Thank you. :)

Style up your Halloween costume

I was looking at the Mcqueen spring/summer 2012 Couture collection, (aren't they stunning) and then while looking at the veils I thought, why not try something like that for Halloween.
Halloween is a time where it is traditional to dress up, no matter what age you are. So maybe you are having trouble thinking what to dress up as or perhaps you want to try something a bit more pretty than grotesque. The veils are made from a few different materials, but if you get some lace, sequins and beads you could easily make up a 'mask' for the holiday.

You would be fashion forward, have a reason to wear this unusual style and look gorgeous, as well as mysterious in your veil. Then all you need to complete the look is some simplistic makeup,a floaty dress to match your veil and some killer heels. You could even add some glitter, a few sequins or stitch on some feathers to the shoes and dress until you get the look.(If you need any help on how to do these things, remember, Youtube must have a video for everything by now).

Why not look at a few other couture collections, your favourites old and new. You would have an edge over many other costumes at a party and would have reason to wear the styles you love.

Hey everyone! As you may know, it's just about Halloween time and what better way to celebrate it than... Halloween stories!?!

Okay, so here are the rules:

I can't be on TTT can I? Is that possible? Thank you so much to Kim and Erica for this opportunity. I squealed with delight when I was asked to write for this legendary blog. As of yet I am not sure what I will be posting about, but I will try to find subjects relevant to this blog. If you have any suggestions please do share.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Robyn, stardoll user evermore1girl, I am 14, Irish and every bit as weird as you might think. I thought for now, I could talk about some of the less well known trends for the season. One of the styles that particularly caught my interest was Chokers.

Linda on a Rampage?

Was Linda(elite-girl) caught on a rampage? Our sources say "absolutely!"

Above is a shot from Linda's MSW photo shoot, after she was named as a semi-finalist for the annual competition. Linda's rep released a statement from the socialite stating "Linda was overjoyed when she was announced as a semi-finalist. This is a big honor for her. And she plans to do her very best to be a great role model for young Dollywood."

But after a late night of partying on the Starset Strip, where Linda proceeded to strip naked after a few too many shots, onlookers couldn't help but wonder what kind of role model Linda had in mind. And followers of MSW weren't all too surprised when she didn't make it to the finals.

After being dropped from the competition, Linda made a very public statement, outlining what she really thought of MSW.

"What kind of role model would I be if I didn't continue living life as I had before I was nominated for MSW? I would be a liar! I can't simply pretend that I'm not a fan of partying and drinking. And maybe getting naked on the strip wasn't the best idea, but at the end of the day, it's who I am. Take me or leave me. MSW is full of fakers and pretty faces pretending to be perfect, when they really have as many flaws as you and I!"

Linda's very blunt statement caused an uproar among MSW officials and contestants, alike. And though she stands by her statement, she later released an apology through her rep.

"Linda is genuinely sorry for the way her statement may have been perceived by all affiliates of MSW. While she doesn't retract said statement, she does apologize for painting a bad image of MSW."

There are many, many, other versions of this bag with different colors. But Vanessa Bruno doesn't need to say thanks to anyone. Her Line's famous because of her bags, and not because a star wear them! The bag made her famous.

May I give some numbers? One Vanessa Bruno bag is sold every 10 minutes in the World.

She stills have a 'Prêt-A-Porter' Line but you understood where she earns more money on her business! (However I don't remember the number, but I think it's like more than 50%)

Now, my personal point is... I have a Vanessa Bruno bag since almost one year. It costed me 240€ (about 320$), yes! I know it's a lot of money and please don't judge me, as a fashion victim I'm also aware about all the things we can do with all that money... But I don't even think it really worth.

I'm not advertising and then giving a bad opinion, I don't feel influent enough to be a media or a person that makes you change your mind about this bag. I'm just showing!

And my real point is that there is a problem with these bags... the sequins! I used to go to school with these bags, like all the other girls... but after seeing the old ones of the other girls... I saw mine become like theirs. And so a lot of sequins are gone. So, if you like this bag and then you'll buy one, I can promise it's a good quality (expect the sequins!) so you'll have to be a bit careful, and if you don't like it... it's your opinion! :)

Hey everyone! How are you all? Basically, my post today is just an update with everything TTT. As you can probably tell, Erica is quite quiet on the Stardoll scene. We all know of the recent news Erica had, so it's a hard time for her, understandably. We also have a new writer on the blog! Her name is Robyn and she's an amazing girl. I'm sure you might have seen her on other blogs, or you probably just know her for being the most genuinely nice person ever. So, welcome to the blog Robyn!

Another thing I want to discuss is a competition in the wraps. Any blossoming models here? This competition is for you! There will also be a massive competition in Deember. Prizes? Think big. REALLY BIG. And it's available for all you Non Superstars. Did that give it away? Leave your guesses in the comments on what the prize could be, maybe you'll get it. And what would you prefer? A competition or a raffle?

So, overall, there is quite a few things coming up here. There was originally meant to be a competition for every month, but we've all been so utterly busy that it's hard. Plus the fact that we aren't recieiving many entries. There will be a Halloween dressup competition, which should be really fun, so prepare for that in October. And there will be the huge competition nearer the end of the year too, which I have already explained. And TTT's Next Top Model? Sound like a plan? Who knows, could become reality very, very soon..

Well isn't this wonderful? Some bitch stole my graphic! Now I know this isn't the first time it's happened, but they could get away with it for totally destroying the graphic. But this bitch, this crosses the line. So the story and I'm going to be 100% honest

I was having a number 2, and I was on my iPod and I checked my Stardoll. I know... Classy, sophisticated woman, having a poop with their iPod. Anyways... I was going through my guestbook and my jaw just dropped. I had a message, like always... But this one was a different message.

Someone stole my graphic!

So I finished what I was doing and I got on my laptop and it was true! Look below!

The bottom picture is the original picture and the one above is the stolen graphic. It's my doll and everything! I believe I still have the psd file. I can provide it if I have to. And what's worse is she took full credit when I messaged in her guestbook...

Now I don't care if she can speak English or not. This bitch stole MY work!

New Young Hollywood

There seems to be a new batch of Young Hollywood coming our way, something I picked up on purely by chance when searching for the latest hot buys cardigan. Upon further investigation, it's all but confirmed.

A few decent items, but not as nice as some of the last ones in my opinion.}
The most intriguing thing about these items is that they come without the usual amount bar (the one that indicates the amount of items left to buy). Perhaps this is because a very poor selection of what I think Stardoll were expecting to be a sell out collection still lingers - a bag here, an orange mesh skirt there, not to mention a top that looks like it was woven from reject Nicki Minaj/Lady Gaga wigs. Unfortunately, one thing the new items still come with are the usual extortionate prices. Oh well. Can't win them all...

Wannabe elites hating on Selena all because they love Perez. Now, don't get me wrong, I love both girls and I know that bullying is not on. But, what also isn't right, hating on Selena because Perez isn't happy with her. Yes, as I said, bullying isn't on but sucking up Perez's ass because she's popular is way off. If Selena was giving someone else the shits, they posted it on a blog, nobody would care.

Do you see how unfair that is? Yes I know PSG is a popular blog but should that matter? No. Yes, it's being more aware of harassment but it's just as stupid to hate the hater. I myself have done some pretty nasty things on Stardoll, of which I have made Selena aware of before. Never was I posted on Beg For More for it.

And never mind what I have done, the point is, I have made members uncomfy, I admit it but has anything happened to me? Yes, it would have been nice if Selena posted it and for the people wondering what happened to them, they would know what has happened. It might have been a bit heartless but Selena was there to listen. Will she use it against me? No.

Everyone can be bitchy, everyone makes mistakes. I don't care what happened between them but can everyone give Selena a break. Everyone should calm the fluff down and just be aware that not everyone's perfect. If we all keep hating on everyone, I'm sure soon we will be as gorgeous as Donatella Versace, so keep it up! Anger and stress makes everyone beautiful.

And remember, I am taking nobodies but my own side and supporting for what I think is right.

So, like any other day, I log into Stardoll, but unexpectedly, I have a whole heap of new guestbook messages. Pssh. I expected it, I'm the most elite bitch you'll associate with. Anyways...

Members are asking me to vote them for Miss Stardoll World, which, I think that's fine. It doesn't bother me. I get messages asking for votes, which is also fine, but... Bitches on chat cranking out the desperate cries, cranking out the poorly written messages begging for votes. There is nothing more annoying than members that sulk for popularity. If you've been in high school, you will compare these members to the sluts that hang out the front with their naughty parts slopping out of their skirts claiming how much they "love" their "friends."
Then, when they get the fame they have been starving themselves for, it all goes to their heads! Remember that bitch who won last year's MSW? *cough* grenade much! The worst member I've spoken to! Upset that I went to bed and couldn't finish her graphic, pretending she's the queen of Stardoll, come on sister, get off your high chair and stop acting like a baby.

We all know what will happen, covergirl, millions of friends requests, millions of guestbooks messages, blah, blah! Either way, congrats to the winner, as long as you don't become the world's biggest bitch, I may consider you my new best friend.

But You Gotta Keep Your Head Up...

I woke up, eager to start the day, excited to have my Special K breakfast and continue with my normal everyday routine. I gave my mom a hug, but where’s dad? Well, he HAS been going on walks recently, but usually comes home when I wake up. I thought he was just probably walking an hour or two longer, which is perfectly fine. But… his car wasn’t parked in the garage? He probably went to the hardware store; he had to fix some stuff outside the house anyway. My mom was in my dad’s office, and noticed something a little strange. His phone and wallet AND sunglasses were still in fact there. A little weird, since a man cannot leave the house without a wallet or phone, it’s just unlikely! Well, not to worry. He may just be clearing his head.

Hours felt like decades, and I wanted to see my dad. I was nervous and I didn’t know where he was. My mom and I just went out, like always, and were positive my father would be home when we got back. After buying some artists pencils from the local arts & crafts store, we called home to see if he was back yet. No answer, it just went into the fax machine because we forgot to turn the printer off. I sigh, and assure myself everything is alright.

We got home two hours later, and the garage was in fact empty. No black car I love to see when I arrive at my house. My mother and I are very concerned. I was so scared since it just started thundering and lightning. I hoped my father didn’t get caught in the bad weather!

My mom and I went out to look for my dad, to see if he was possibly at a local park or something. Whadaya know? He isn’t anywhere to be found. I was very worried, so we reported a missing person. We asked all his friends if he was with them, maybe he was with his best friend, after all, they are always going out together for a movie or a bite to eat and they don’t tell my mom (they think they’re such jokesters).

We waited for hours, soon it was midnight. I needed to have a sign that my dad was okay, I wanted to know he was coming home for sure. Suddenly, a strange white car parked outside of our house. I was scared shitless; I thought somebody was going to break in. But then they put their lights on, it was in fact the police. They knocked on the door, and asked if they could come in, not showing any signs of bad news. Finally, they tell us. My father had in fact passed away around 7:00 a.m. Wow. There it was. The news we certainly DIDN’T want to hear had been told to us in our own home.

At first, I was so shocked, that I was far from tears. I kept repeating to myself, it’s alright, he’s coming home. I questioned the police numerous times praying for a positive answer, hoping to hear signs that it wasn’t in fact my dad. But no, it was indeed him. Half of my life had been taken away from me, just like that. No last hug, no last words, just the memory of seeing him the night before. Luckily, we had great neighbors to help us. They let me sleep over their house, while I got my head straight- which believe me, didn’t happen.

I for one am not a person to talk about these things, nor will I ever be. I hadn’t spoken to one of my friends about what happened within a week of it. Then, obviously, everyone finds out sometime. I’ve had so much support from everyone, and it has helped me a lot.

I’m not trying to get attention; I’m not trying to pull anything. Believe me, the last thing on my mind is being the most loved person on stardoll. I honestly would leave right now if it wasn’t for my projects and friends keeping me going. I have a life right now, and I have friends, heck, I’m popular! But that’s what makes me happy. Having a life filled with people I love. I made this post for a very specific reason. You don’t know what will happen to you in the future, you never will. Your destiny could be having no parents, being famous, having a normal life, or something you would NEVER expect. Trust me, this was so sudden. The one thing that I would never expect in a million years! Don’t be gloomy with life, love what you have, and be happy with who you are. Hearing this song always makes me feel… better. Maybe if you’re struggling with something, take some time to listen to it. It may not be your genre, but I’m sure it will put a smile on your face just like it did for me. ;)

I'd just came home from school, work, university, studying, whatever you want to call it, to find that Miss Stardoll World has officially begun, voting has started and people are going crazy with their stardollars to get themselves out there and known so that they can have even the slightest chance of winning. I'm the girl that doesn't have much stardollars, and I'm sure I can relate to 80% of you out there. Unlike the selected few, I don't have thousands of stardollars in my virtual purse, in preparation for big competitions. And I'm not going to complain, infact I don't mind not having many stardollars. I quickly check out my most treasured blogs and find everyone, literally everyone, broadcasting about Miss Stardoll World, and how they'd love to win. I'd been thinking about it for a while, the fact I'd love to have a chance. So off I go, I make a new presentation, clean up my suite and give my doll a new outfit. I'm raring to go. But there's one thing stopping me, the fact I don't have stardollars. I send some broadcasts with the few stardollars I have, send some messages and speak to some people on skype, politely asking if they could vote me. I get a good response so I decide to post on here about it. Within one hour of posting I already have 4 comments complaining about me posting this, then one which reaaally annoyed me. "You'll never win" it read. Yeah, it's a virtual world but it IS real people behind the screens. Words hurt, whether they are online or not. The thing that annoys me even more, is that obviously, they are anonymous. Please, if your going to try and get me down then atleast show your name. It just proves how pathetic you are not even putting your name. I'm all for freedom of speech, but this is the kind of thing that puts me off people having the ability to speak freely anonymously. I don't really bothere replying to it. I just delete the post, and get on with it. I mean, why have a post when people don't want it there? But then I realised, boo the haters, boo them all. Like, seriously. Can you blame a girl for trying? So whenever all you anons' want something broadcasted of yours, take into consideration how you put us down when we post about wishes of ours. 3 words; Go. Screw. Yourself. But moving on to my next topic, Stardollars. Stardollars are the key to basically, well, everything on Stardoll. If you don't have stardollars, well, you don't have much. I just think that Stardollars control waaay to much on how people are known on here. People who aren't Superstar and don't have that a good suite always get moaned at for not having many clothes, or a room stuffed full of items. Whereas the richer stardoll members are praised for the amount of items messily shoved into a room of theirs. In my opinion, quite a few active Stardoll members actually try alot harder to do things than the members with lots of Stardollars. I'm not saying that every single member with over 1,000 stardollars on Stardoll doesn't try hard, it's just a general message I'm putting across. It's like the real world, less wealthy families tend to appreciate everything more in life than the wealthier people who get it easily. It's just another thing for them, whereas others are grateful. Once again, I don't think wealthy people don't appreciate things, it's just a general message. I'm going to stop ranting for now, because this post looks like it's getting rather long. I'd put paragraphs bit the thing is, I think it looks better when it's just written and posted. Especially a subject like this. It makes it look like its coming straight from the heart, which in this case, it is. But the main message is just, don't let anybody get you down, no matter what, try hard and go for it, even if people are complaining or bullying you, you'll be the one laughing in a few years time, when your the one who's gained respect as an adult, and has done well for themselves. Ignore the haters, they can go screw themselves.

First post in a while, sorry. I dropped my laptop and it landed on the charger and broke some wires. I had to wait to get a new charger but I guess it's all good now.

Clearly, they're capable of making amazing graphics but don't you think they've put their skills to waste.

Horrible posing, horrible effects and the shading, I could never be satisfied if I did that sort of shading.
They use hair that we have, use hair we don't have.
They gloss up everything but should they?

Does anyone remember the good quality dolls we had?

Like McDonald's, Stardoll has reduced the size of their products.

The doll on the left is AMAZING, wonderful shading and amazing clothes.
The doll on the right, nice clothes but... The shading looks like the model rubbed brown sugar all over herself and now she looks a bit, not right. The detail's good, the effort... Is horrible. I predict that soon the dolls will look like Mimi from the Drew Carey show.

123,456,789 is a Magic Number

Well, at least for Stardoll it is. As somebody who's been playing stardoll for a long while now, I would never have imagined that it would get this big. And big it is. So to celebrate, Stardoll has released a few FREE items. Huzzah! Rejoice! Never thought I'd see this day again…

Surprisingly, they're not that ugly. Not great, of course, but not ugly. I must say I'm fond of the 'woven tights', the clutch is pretty cute and I love the lace collar. Of course, since it's Stardoll, you have to take the good with the bad. In this case, that would be a very basic pair of brown boots and a poorly made sequin dress. It's clear that not a huge amount of effort went into these items, but, free is free and nothing to be sniffed at.

In other news, there is a new collection of ridiculously priced nail polishes based on Mortal Kiss: Fool's Silver. To be honest, they look more at home with Monster High, but a few of them are cute; like the red and black bat print ('Batt Attack') and simple black-to-red gradient known as 'Oozing Blood'. As pleasant as that name is, it's nothing compared to…

Yes, that's brains, gunshot wounds, poorly-stitched skin and holes. With worms! Aren't they just perfectly repulsive? I personally hate them - they're disgusting, but I can see them being very popular with the neon scene/emo crowd. Only on Stardoll would you be expected to pay 17 stardollars to have your nails crawling with worms. Yuck.*

Abbey Lee Kershaw. A very familiar name within the modeling world. Very familiar, indeed. Ranked as the worlds ninth best female model she's surely one to count on in practically every fashion-happening. However she's not only the ninth best model in the world, she's also the 21st best payed model in the world! Thereby she doesn't only have beauty, but quite plenty of money too.

Abbey Lee was born in Melbourne, Australia, on the 12th of June 1987. However it was not until 2004 that her modeling skills was to be discovered. By participating & actually winning an australian modeling competition called Girlfriend Model Search she started up what was soon to be one of the worlds most successful careers in our time.

This girls client-list is surely one of the longest. Her first modeling job on the higher levels was for W Magazine in January 2008. She's ever since worked fiercely for several other big magazines like Numero, several Vogues, i-D & more. A few labels she's been shot for are Gucci [whom she's been in campaigns for 8 times at a total!], cK, Donna Karan, Tom Ford & Mulberry.

At a height of 180 centimeters Abbey Lee has also walked on the runway for quite a few. Tom Ford, Michael Kors & Chanel for example.

Hello again, folks. Lana, back again, with another interesting starplaza find.

At first, I was just looking at the interior, when the brand of the item finally dawned on me. Yes, that's right. Mortal Kiss.

For those of you who don't know or simply didn't pay attention (which I seriously doubt you could) Mortal Kiss was an interactive reading experience from which many things were spawned, most notable of which, of course, was the Mortal Kiss shop. It was the predecessor to, and the very thing that laid the foundations for, the more recent Sea of Stars 'graphic novel'.

Upon researching the new Mortal Kiss item, I found that not only had there already been news posted about it in the star blog, two chapters had already been released, along with a club and a page. Except this time, there was a difference. Instead of the interactive reading experience we had before, where we could explore the locations around the story's town of Winter Mill, these chapters were posted in the star blog.

Talk about disappointment.

I, for one, very much enjoyed Mortal Kiss, particularly it's set up - the locations were awesome, and in places, rather creepy. It really set the mood for the story, and without it, I doubt I would have paid much attention. I probably wouldn't even have bothered reading. So, my question is - why, exactly, is there no interactivity now? Yes, there's a page, which features a calendar releasing an item per day, but it's just not the same. It all feels very lacklustre.

While I'm all for the encouragement of reading, I can't help but feel the lack of 'experience' in Fool's Silver (yikes! what a name…) will cause many people to skip the story altogether and head straight for the shops. And beauty products now, apparently. How exciting.

I will be reading the sequel, only because I hate leaving a story unfinished. But I'll say it once, and I'll say it again: disappointment.

Hello everybody, how are you all? This is my first post since the renovation of Today's Top Trends, so I'm a bit nervous! Moving on to the actual point of my post today, it's a spotlight article, on the wonderfully awesome Gwenee; whom you can visit by clicking here.

Christine is a Stardoll user who has been on the site since 2007; and as you can tell from her suite, she has a love for the mighty, Alexander Mcqueen. Recently Christine has got quite a bit of recognition from her recreation of Mcqueen's Armadillo boots. She made the designs in stardesigns with the white panels at the back, so when she puts her body on white panels its like she is wearing Armadillos, how awesome?! Here you can see the design in action:

Aren't them shoes absolutely stunning?! All in all, Christine is a REALLY amazing user who you should totally check out and talk too! She's extremely fashionable, and is a sweetheart too, so why not go and visit her now?! I'm not too sure if she is selling her Armadillo designs at the moment but there are certainly something worth saving up for. And please do not copy the designs. Christine worked really hard on them so it would be a massive shame to see them go to complete waste. And she's secretly my slut too...

Hello everyone!

As (hopefully) most of you know, I'm a Graphic Designer. I think graphic design is one of the greatest things to express his creativity on Stardoll. I'm really happy to see more and more magazines and graphic designer spring up and turn out really well.

Recently a member called Luxury_Magazine released a mini series of Graphics. The title of the series is "Life is a Show" and she let herself inspire by songs like California Gurls or Edge of Glory.

I have to say that I'm truly impressed of how great it turned out. Here's my favourite picture:

Feeling Reckless?

Et voila, it's the one & only Reckless Magazine's fall spoiler for all of our eyes to feast on! Just today the owner Ashton Eramya, aka. Ashy_Loves_You, released this piece of art on the Reckless Magazine blog. The graphic designers are Ashton & Gabriel, aka. Gbbe2 I know from a little gossip with the owner himself that this issue is going to become ah-mazing, literally. So keep your eyes wide-open for the release of Reckless this fall, for it will certainly not disappoint you!

& also, to clear everything up. It's true, I'm leaving stardoll. However, I'm not leaving blogger & will continue on to write on this blog for a while more. Hey everyone!

I'm back with great news for everyone who always wanted to be a part of a big and great organization! You probably know of JuciiMami827's SDNOH8 organization if you're a constant stardoll blog reader. Well it's making a comeback and it's searching for new staff members.

SDNOH8 will be adding:

An Assistant: A Person who would Assist whenever needed; might step in for other jobs if needed.
An Interviewer: Someone to Interview Stardollians who stand up for what they believe in for events, etc.
A Press Person: This is really a part time job, because only during sdnoh8 events (w/ a few execptions) will they be needed. They will use the stardoll inbox, or skype to ask people questions about how they felt at the event, what they believe in, etc.
Graphic Designers: GDs who would make photoshoots.

All the details of each job would be mailed to the people who make the cut.

House of Worth Tribute Store! Wishful Thinking...

I am one of those people who just love glamour! If I had the money, I would only wear amazingly glamourous floor length gowns every day! I'm serious! I would love to sit on a extraordinary sofa in a big country house or mansion, wearing a black diamond studded floor length gown and the biggest fur stole you ever saw, oh don't forget the Christian Louboutin platform pumps! Oh, stop me before I max out my credit card! Again...

There are times when I think that I was born into the wrong century! I would fit in in the 1800's so damn good! Ah, imagine it, being a socialite, invited for tea in all kinds of posh houses, going to court to kiss the Queen's rings, having your own personal seamstress who would bend over backwards for your satisfaction. (Get your mind out of the gutter) ;D

anyway, I was born 1992, destined to live a life wearing boring fashion like this:

Isn't it GORGEOUS? Its made by 'The Father of Haute Couture' Charles Frederick Worth! (1825 - 1895)

Charles Frederick Worth established 'House Of Worth' which is one of the oldest fashion houses there is! (Founded in 1850) He is called the father of Haute Couture! He was the one who started the trend for ladies to wear the dresses with the big bustle and richly worked long trains!

I would love to see this kind of dresses in Starplaza! I would even pay LE prices for them! This is really my kind of fashion, THIS is what I call REAL high fashion (Haute Couture)

The appreciation of this kind of clothing is fucking lost to the world and it makes me so sad!

Bonjour mes lecteures!

My name is Melinda Pires. I'm 17 years old and one of the new writers for TTT! I will write about fashion as well as Stardoll modeling. I'm on my way to find out what I want to be doing after I finished school. It will definitely be art related. That's what actually inspired me for my first post. I hope you like it and I will have a great time here : ].

As we all know for a model building up her career there couldn't be anything better than gracing the cover of what?!Vogue. Of course.
Founded in 1892[!!!], as a weekly publication, by Arthur Baldwin Turnere this magazine seemed to be promising. Lacking the addiction-factor, Grace Mirabella became the editor-in-chief in 1973. Under her the the magazine underwent editorial and stylistic changes and became a monthly publication. Nowadays we all know Anna Wintour as the editor-in-chief. She is not only famous for her cutting-edge visual sense and ability for radically revamp a magazine, but also for her practice of wearing sunglasses indoors.

So I will be leaving you guys with some Vintage Vogue covers. I love the fact that these aren't photographs! Still they look so much like a Vogue cover nowadays could look like!

Introducing... The Kooples

First of all, I needed to thank Lana for the amazing banner that is even more than I could think it could be. So, thank you Lana!

And now just let me do what I want... Introducing you a new Fashion Line that you may not know.

Seeing all the crap Tribute store this year... I wanted stardoll to have a ''The Kooples" store!

But talking about the brand...

It's a french brand that was created in 2008 by Alexandre, Raphaël and Laurent Elicha. As the name let us hear... they proclaim to be a brand for couples!

Before they start having their own shops, they already had done a lot of advertisement for the brand showing real couples (straight or gays) and adding how many time they're a couple.

The brand only has shops in France and in the U.K. I guess because it's a style that fits perfectly on both countries!

They say they're 'chic de rue', but I rather believe they are classic and young. I personally own a lot of The Kooples clothes, so that's why I thought about doing a post about them.

What I really like the most is that they know how to catch your attention. Their success was amazing from the beginning and the fact that they chose that name, with all the related things to 'love' is really international and everyone can feel good wearing The Kooples.

Also the fact that they choose some real person to be their models, shows that it's affordable...

Even if I think they're a bit expensive, it's still a ready to wear brand that deserves this kind of prices!

Les Hommes: Yuri Pleskun

We all love models. However we even try we can't ignore that we love them. I know I can't anyway. Their ability of posing a feeling is what we admire. How their facial expression can change a picture completely. How they can both destroy a whole campaign as well as save it from the ruins. It's certainly a tough business, but it's also a necessary one within the fashion-industry. What I am to do with this segment Les Hommes/Les Femmes is thereby to present hard-workers within the modeling business, people whom deserve all the praise they can get, for they're professionals within their area of expertise.

Today I'll start with a young homme who has hit the modeling business with storm. Ranked as the ninth best male model in he world, I present to you; Yuri Pleskun.

Yuri Pleskun is as said the ninth best model in the world at the moment, ranked by Models.com. This 21 years old fellow was born in Russi [or what was back then the Sovjet] on the 14th of May 1990. he's 188 centimeters/6 feet & 2 inches tall & has thereby been booked by most of the big fashion houses. A few of his clients are Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Teen Vogue, i-D Magazine etc. etc.. The list can go on for another few paragraphs.

Yuri is signed with 5 different agencies around the globe, in Berlin it's VIVA Berlin, in Copenhagen it's Scoop, in London it's Elite London, in Milan it's I LOVE, in New York it's Request NY & lastly it's Bananas in Paris. Only by his list of agencies one can notice he's allured by everyone.

With his many tattoos Yuri is one of the rebels of the fashion world. He doesn't have the typical model look & by showing that you don't have to look a certain way to become successful in the business makes him quite a role-model for aspiring models. But maybe that's also what's so alluring about him, that he's different. However it is he certainly knows how to pose with both his face & body. Because of that he's been booked for simple portraits by photographer Damon Baker, thereby he can be seen both in fashion & in arts.

Ending off with a small interview with Yuri by Interview Magazine. Referring to his answers the thought about him as the rebel within fashion only grows stronger. He's not the average model, he's special & unique within these business.

Diamonds: Are they Really a Girl's Best Friend?

Hey all, Lana here with my very first blog post! I can't believe no-one's noticed this yet, or if they have, I must have missed it. Anyway, Polished recently released a collection to coincide with Stardoll's very own graphic novel, Sea of Stars. In amongst the (questionable) polishes, was this little beauty.

That, on the bottle, would be the 'Royalty' diamond. As a royalty member myself, I don't know how to feel about this. Free nail polish, which is nice enough - if you forget the stigma attached to it. For a long time now, there has been favouritism between Superstars and Non-Superstars, a gap that the starcoin system was supposed to bridge. While there may be a small, weak bridge between the two there now, the prospect of Stardoll releasing even more royalty items is worrying. This could be the first step to separating us loyal Stardollians even further, into a third group, one that would make the Superstars feel the inadequacies of Non-Superstardom. Of course, there was the Royalty club, but is this a second nail into the Royalty coffin?

One can only hope not - that's not what we pay for. Superstars pay for the privilege of getting more exclusive items, and if Stardoll are making items even Superstars can't buy, we might as well stop paying for it at all.

Finding My Niche

For quite a long time, Medoll Memoires was my only outlet for writing. Anything and everything I desired to write was posted there. But now that I have a second outlet, Today's Top Trends, I'm having a hard time finding my niche on this blog. That being because I am unable to decide what I'd like to post about here. However, I do have an idea. And it's one that I'd like to propose to the readers.

As you all know, there are fake gossip writers present at TTT. Yet, I don't find them posting all too often. And fake gossip has been something that I've always longed to dabble in. So if I receive proper feedback from TTT's readers, I'd be happy to move forward with my idea. That being said, if anyone could think of something else they would rather me write about, let me know in comments.

I look forward to hearing from all of you, in hopes that I will finally find my niche here at Today's Top Trends.

Competition Time!

We’re all pretty much at that point where school is ready to discourage us with its 5 inch thick textbooks, pointless pop quizzes, and intimidating teachers. But what is the one thing inside of us that gets are juices flowing, and creativity going? Writing! That is exactly the reason why we will be holding two competitions running until August 31^st. These include two options- one or the other, not both. The first consists of writing a poem about the end of summertime- we love all kinds of poetry, rhyming or not. The second is about writing a completely false story of what people wished to do on their summer break. This story can be possible, or even impossible!

Whoever has the most interesting poetry will receive 75 stardollars, and the person that has the most creative story gets to be a guest writer on Today’s Top Trends! We will pick 3 finalists for each category, and then hold a poll determining who will win, it’s up to you! We want an equal amount of people to participate in each competition. It would help us out a lot. Please post your entries in the comments below, and tell us which you will be taking part in.

McQueen Mania

& so the fall campaigns are starting to drop in. Latest off is Alexander McQueen's beautiful designs by Sarah Burton. As we all stated about 6 months ago when the first collection without Lee himself being the main-designer was pretty different from what we had seen before. The McQueen feeling was left, just in a different format. Sarah worked with Lee for several years & has helped with each collection, that's why the different format I think.

Anyhow, my point is that I get quite the same feeling from this! One part of the legendary fashion house of Alexander McQueen is left in this, one is gone. It's different, but the same. Take a look for yourself below.

Armadillos on Stardoll?

Hey everyone!

It's great to be back on TTT. Finally everybody got their banners and I have to say; They're fabulous! Great job Lana! I especially love mine (That's funny, isn't it?).

Anyway I want to segue from our great banners into the main topic of this post; Stardoll finally made some Alexander McQueen Armadillos! Yes you heard right. After (I think) 1 year of waiting, we finally can wear these wonderful shoes. Although I would prefer it if they looked a little bit more like McQ's.

You can find them in the Sea of Stars store. They worth 50 - 60 starcoins. So they're not overpriced, what a surprise!

The Givenchy Tribute store... Hm, I'm not really a big fan! The tribute store's quality has dropped majorly since the Chanel, JC and Sonya Rykiel shops, and it's sad to see Haute Couture wither away to garbage like this:

What kind off wretched graphic designer have they gotten to do the tribute this time?!

I don't know how much longer I can sit on the sideline, watching the prices go higher while the quality is slowly rotting away to a casual scribble on your coffee-table notepad! We are going backwards in technology! I thought Stardoll had the makeover last year because they wanted to move forward, away from their cute little 'Paperdoll' image and into a real fashion place-to-be!

Illusion of Style

When logging on my Skype account today I instantly started talking to Zenonas, aka. -LimitedEdition. He had some smashing news for me: Illusion is out! Oh the joy filled me. I do however assume that most of you aren't very aware about which Illusion I'm talking about is, & therefor I'll show you this:

A certainly new & fresh stardesign label is what it is! I personally love the pattern itself, which will be available from the 10th of August until the 20th. I'll be sure to buy mine as soon as it hits the store! However, after admiring the beautiful tones of green & sensual patterns of the garments which will be for sale in a few days only I was lucky enough to have a short interview with the designer himself, see below:

Z - Zenonas, designer behind Illusion

L: Hello Zenonas! Thank you for accepting this interview with us. Today you released your stardesign label Illusion for the public to admire & also buy. & what a collection! Which were your inspirations behind it?

Z: Hey Linus! It's a pleasure to me to give this interview for you! Well my Stardesign line was mostly inspired by beauty of nature and natural things all around us. The collection which I've released today is Summer Burst which was inspired by late Summer heat and bright colours of flowers I hope that the collection will be liked by others because it's my debut collection and I'm still pretty nervous about it!

L: A truly great source for inspiration! So from what I've noticed the creation of Illusion was kind of an act of impulses, how did you come up with the idea?

Z: Well I always wanted to own a fashion line or something like that. I believe that Stardesign line will give me some experience in creating something related with fashion. I've been thinking about it for a few months, the hardest thing was to create a label title and a theme for the whole line but I've finally got inspired by looking through my window into a small objects which looks like a mirage, like an illusion in a whole thing. Then I've started to create a design for the collection and finally I've done it!

L: That's great! How about future plans for Illusion then? Have you got any upcoming patterns or expandations on your way already?

Z: Well I haven't got a lot of future plans yet, no expandations yet.. I'm just doing my best to improve the design which I'm working on right now. It will be a September design which is still creating. I don't like to plan a lot so the only plan I have right now is September design.

L: Sounds good. We can't wait to see it! Can you reveal a little secret about it for our readers?

Z: Well right now I'm working on a purple design which kind of reminds me the early autumn night with a purply-reddish sky. As I said I'm still improving the design so I'm quite sure that I will even change the whole design if I get a better idea for September. So it's still kind of secret about the September design colours and inspiration.

CFW TAKEOVER - DAY 2

Starting off day two of Copenhagen Fashion Week did none less than Danmarks Designskole, the Danish school of design in Copenhagen. The many students which had studied their final year at the fashionable school did surprisingly well, I think. I only disliked one of the designer's works, but that wasn't because it was poorly executed or thought-through, it was just the designer's personal style which was interesting to observe anyway.

Outfits by Danmark Designskole's Students

There were plenty of different styles walking down the catwalk yesterday morning. Harlequin, retro, pin-up, hobo, grunge etc. etc. It seemed to be an endless walk of style & personality this time! & not only enough with this, but all the colors, the fabrics, the shapes.. Every piece was unique & completely created by the designer behind it, something I appreciated very much.

Even though the collection consisting of 75 outfits at total had so many different styles, colors, shapes & fabrics in it it worked surprisingly well all together. Maybe it was the bland runway, maybe the outfit-follow did it, or maybe it was just that it was so clearly a mash-up that did it, I don't know. Anyhow - it worked!

Outfits by Danmark Designskole's Students

The second designer of day 2 must have been my favourite. Benedikte Utzon's collection was the fiercest I've seen so far in this Copenhagen Fashion Week. The contrasts between the Asian-, Arabic-, European- & Scandinavian influences was blasting! Different cultures & traditions were mixed together into this magnificent show, however the Scandinavian simplicity was present in every garment, being the main-contrast against all the influences in this collection. The during the show also helped to make these looks come out as magnificent and quite infinite. Just see for yourself below:

Beautiful, isn't it? The make up was also my favourite for the three day long week. The eyebrows was as fierce as something could be & the pale ads in nude colors just strengthened the royally fierce feeling about the clothing & accessories. Bravo!

Outfits by Benedikte Utzon

The next highlight of day two was Tabernacle Twins. Designer Vide Lundemark explored the world of colors & shapes with her creations. Getting inspiration from the 60's she hooked on a trend which has been in the fashion atmosphere for quite a while now, but made it completely her own & unique. She also hooked on the trend of culture. In some garments there were for example clear influences of native American culture, however she also took this trend to transform it into a new devision, her devision. Take a look below.

Outfits by Tabernacle Twins

The color-palette was in my opinion beyond amazing. The retro-inspired gloomy tones of yellow & pink was so well mixed with the fresh ads of citrus, orange & gold. The primitive prints in black & white contrasting each other Vide used alongside with the color-bombed garments made this collection even more exciting. There were so much to watch at, all the time. If not the blowing made-up, then the fierce black wedges. If not the striking ruffles of a dress, then the crazy prints of a sleeveless shirt. There were much, however, it was also just enough.

Next up was Soulland by Silas Adler, one of the two designers who got the honor to create a stamp for the Danish postal service, read more about that here.

Silas menswear collection was ever so sophisticated! He used classical shapes & garments, such as white shirts & jersey pants. The clothing was however very retro, but with a modern twist. The thought you had in your mind while observing them was 60's USA, with college sweaters & a sporty style over it all! However as said, it all kept a modern touch, as with the floral-printed shirt below.

The other designers which I didn't bring up in this post but which presented their collections today was Magnus Löppe, Wackerhaus, Jean//Phillip, Veronica B. Vallenes, Stine Goya, Bruuns Bazaar, Munthe plus Simonsen, Designers Remix & lastly Baum und Pferdgarten. You can check out all the entire collection right here.

CFW Takeover - Fashionably Stamped!

As Kimberly so sincere introduced to you all in the recent post I, Linus, will hold a fashion takeover this week, posting reviews, news, interviews & much more about the ongoing Copenhagen Fashion Week! Without any further introduction, I present to you:

CFW TAKEOVER - FASHION STAMP

'Snailmail has never been more chic! For the first time ever, Denmark's postal service, Post Danmark, has solicited special stamps to celebrate Danish fashion. The two designers behind the new stamps, unveiled Tuesday Aug 4, are Malene Birger and Soulland's Silas Adler. Swing by By the Malene Birger store in Antoniagade to buy the stamps and send a special greeting to your loved ones.'

What you've read above is what the Copenhagen Fashion Week team has to say about this new collaboration between the Danish postal office & the Scandinavian fashion festival. As stated there, two lucky designers attending the week has got the privilege to create Danish postal stamps for the country's postal service Post Danmark. This is an honor not many, if anyone at all, would deny.

The chosen designers to do this was Melene Birger & Silas Adler. What you see both above & below are photographs taken of Silas, in his studio, meanwhile creating his stamp. Adler's inspirations for the stamp was what the fashion industry calls accessories - ties, shoes, hats, pocket watches etc. As you can see at the pictures above the details are microscopic & did most likely take hours of thinking & execution to make.

Silas Adler presented his collection for Soulland today at 20:00 Danish time. A review of it will be posted here tomorrow, alongside with other highlights of today's collections presented. The postal stamp was however on sale ever since yesterday in the Soulland-shops, other Danish shops where postal stamps can be found as well as on the internet, click here if you wish to buy it.

Malene Birger was as said the other designer to receive the honor. Her collection will be presented for the Scandinavian & world-wide fashion elite to observe & admire. This talented Dane chose to go simpler. Focusing on the framing she used one of her black & white sketches in her stamp. Personally this is my favourite of the two. It's very simple in it's edging shapes of sharp contrasts, however I'm in love with how the black takes different tones & thereby making it look very alive & playful, even though no colors are used.

Sorry for the wait & COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK?

As I was browsing upon net-a-porter last night, Linus sent me a message asking what I was up too. Of course I just quickly replied "browsing clothes,you?" and went back to staring at the luscious clothes available for sale. "CFW, making a post about it." he tells me. I'm clueless, Cruise Fashion Week? Crazy Fashion Week? Columbus Fashion Week? Absolutely clueless. "Copenhagen Fashion Week" he tells me.

Ok, please tell me I'm not the only one who has ever heard of Copenhagen Fashion Week?

I speedily go back onto my internet browser and cross out my dreams. "Copenhagen Fashion Week"... I type into google. First result, *CLICK*. Oh the glory! CFW, yet another fashion week to drool over! Now Linus has finished the post, so here it is!

I'm also really sorry for the long wait. Lana's Superstar ended and we were orginally not going to start posting until we get them. BUT; we really need to post so I'll just add in the writers banners after. &This is totally off topic but, celebration time!!! We're nominated for a Classique Award! That'll be going in my achievement booklet, no doubt! We're up against some tough competition like Editorialized though, the best will win though. Go over now to cast your vote if you like. :)

CFW TAKEOVER - DAY 1!

Hello fashionable fellows. Yesterday was the grand opening day of Copenhagen Fashion Week, a fashion festival above many others, where many talented designers of Scandinavia presented their S/S 2012 collections to the media, the people & lastly the fashion-world. I will here on TTT take over this entire week. Post daily reviews as each day has passed with the best collections from the different days. So here we go, it's time for a Danish fashion takeover!

At the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week the schedule was full of designer-goods. Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen got the honor to open up the entire week, something which was just right. Her collection was nude, primitive, native-inspired, but with the eternal contrasts of Scandinavian simpleness & clean-cuts. The make up was simple & feminine, but at the same time quite rough, which strengthened the primitive & native feeling about the clothing.

The main-fabrics which Anne Sofie used was sheer tulle's, cotton, leather & chiffon. I think this move of choosing so many different fabrics and put them into one was a smart idea. It gave deepness & personality to the otherwise quite bland colors & anonymous make-up. The accessories & details in the garments also did this, but in the form of shaping instead. Take the anklets for example. It doesn't only pull together the face with the outfit, but also ads personality & more creativity to the look.

Another very interesting thing about this collection was the shoes, or should I say no-shoes. The models were strutting down the catwalk in nothing but sheer socks. Something I've never seen before on the runway, to be true. However, I loved it! It's so simple, but so right.

Anne Sofie Madsen's collection was definitely one of my two favourite collections of the day. The third greatest collection in my opinion was Trash-Couture's, which was second to present their collection. They also sticked to the nude theme, but in a more dreamy & magical way. The creations reminded about swans & ancient tales of forest-elves. However, this idea was very clearly contrasted with royal touches from the rococo-era. An interesting mix, I'd say.

The color-scheme was based on nude tones, as said above, with heavy whites as a key-factor. This collection's different tones was however more grey & green than the nude ones in Anne Sofie Madsen's collection. Trash-Couture's collection thereby seemed more trashy, to be exact. In an interesting & still dreamy ballet-way.

Somehow this collection also reminded of the movie Black Swan. As said above there were heavy influences of magical tales & swans, quite dreamy, but in the middle of it all these black outfits which was quite opposing to the start came dancing down the runway. Interesting contrasts, I'd say, even if it's got such a heavy influence by a movie & ballet-show.

The further you came into the collection, the darker it became. Starting off as a white royal forest-elf, ending as a magical, evil crow. Even if the theme itself may sound a bit childish & overrated, I think it worked really great in this. This was certainly the most fun collection of the day, you didn't have one second of boredom watching these creative outfits in chiffon, lace & feathers.

The next highlight of the day was no one less than Nina Robenhagen. This talented Dane presented a small, but fantastically well executed collection with influences from the 60's Scandinavia mixed with the current Scandinavian culture & but also ancient tales. It was a very nice mix of different decades in the history of Scandinavia, thereby it felt both nostalgic as well as very present & modern, which is a sign of today's Scandinavian design.

The color-palette was mixed with grey tones, dirty orange ads, nude colors, blues & much white. The variation went great with the many fabrics used. Once again chiffon was seen on the runway, as well as lace & cotton. These three was very commonly seen at today's shows. Another fabric Nina used was silk, which worked surprisingly well with the rest!

Looking at the outfits put together, you can see that the hats was a main-garment in this collection. The make up stayed simple to make room for what was above it; silk-hats in green, pink flower-bombs & white floral veils. Just admiring the hat was in this case a pleasure in itself! Working in layers Nina achieved very interesting shapes for the head, in some cases also bringing help from the models' hairs.

The outfits was also very layer-focused, a trend which has stayed for years now. However, it doesn't seem less modern because of that. Rather the opposite! The clothes of Nina Robenhagen gave new life to many different old trends. Florals, retro, layered, maxi-dresses, bridal couture.. Every idea being re-invented made this my second favourite collection of the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Shopaholic, Workaholic, Hard to find the right middle...

You´ve all been seeing this movie, right?

If you haven´t, then, shame on you!

Only by reading the title of the movie... you guessed the topic I´m about to talk.

Actually, I think that buying so much clothes every day and never get enough of it is not an illness... It isn´t a good thing though! But I believe that every people that can´t get enough of it are people that are missing something.. or someone.

And in stardoll, I personally love buying clothes.

But I didn´t want to talk about the movie... nor the fact of buying a lot of clothes... in real life... or in stardoll...

Think about having 4 jobs! It isn´t possible, right? Well, in the blogger world what´s the equality of having 4 jobs in real life? Isn´t that a good question?

We are bloggers... and how many projects are we working on??? Looking at all the Blogger Profiles of the TTT writers, we´re all working for at least 5 projects!

In the real life it´s already impossible to imagine to have several jobs... meaning more than 1. So you can´t think about working for... concurence! But in stardoll it is kinda easy...

TTT is a fashion and modeling blog. In the Blogger world of Dollywood there are only few kinds of blogs : Fashion blogs, Stardoll News blogs, Lifestyle blogs, Magazine, Fashion Lines, Graphic Blogs, Portofolios or Gossip Blogs.

Then... I won´t talk about anyone specificly... but it means that if we don´t want to work for concurrence, then we can only work for 8 blogs... The thing that I am saying, is that a lot of people work for more than 8 blogs and even if I am wrong with all that thing...8 blogs is already a lot!!!

Maybe not a lot of people knows that... but would you accept to work for 3 Fashion Blogs? It needs a lot of organization! You´re only one person, so you can´t think about 3 different fashion posts every day, right?

And how would you choose the one you´ll write for? Do I need to remember you that you accepted to work for all of them?

There was some days... at the end of my school year, because of the holidays, that I decided to make a lot of projects... I changed my blog twice... and now it´s a company. But I really realised how much finding a right middle is important.

And instead of telling me what you think about my post... or the way I write (which is really horrible) or the way I talk about things...

Before one dives into the center of a blog, reading posts, taking part in providing feedback and eventually labeling that blog as a favorite among few, they like to catch a glimpse of the history, and those writers who are supplying them with information, competitions, controversy and drama. Today’s Top Trends has much history behind it, all of which has guided it through the past and into the present. It has been through its ups and downs, twists and turns, but it has come to be what it is today; something extraordinary.

Today’s Top Trends was known as many things in the past, but it’s most legendary title was created by our beloved Tyler. He has made this blog his most pride possession, and really put 110% into it day in and day out. Don’t hit us with, “What has he done? He is nothing but a fame whore.” Or “He only cares about himself. What’s so great about him?” You may not have the best relationship with Tyler or even any relationship at all; but he is an accomplished person, and truly has a great future ahead of him. We all have our faults, our bad days, and our struggles. You can’t hold it again us forever, we are only human. Mistakes are made, but in the end, it always works out some way, somehow. Let’s not go on for another hour though about how we make mistakes, won’t that be just a drag? Bottom line is, Tyler has had many great achievements, and he has shared an exceptional one with us all, TTT. It has the most potential now then it will ever, and is ready for a comeback.

TTT has gathered a team of fresh, innovative faces to show off, but has kept a few previous ones to still capture the essence of what we all know and love. Our latest writers include; Lana Addison, Chace Clark, Rihanna Cole, Selena Marilyn De Ville, Linus Leonardsson, Amanda Lucy, Melinda Pires, and Eliza Spears. We asked one of TTT’s previous writers, Aislin, to be associated with our team, and we were honored when she accepted our invitation. She has been a previous writer for Tyler’s Top Trends, and we are thankful to have her back for good. Each of our writers will be posting a little bit about themselves so you can get a taste of what to expect in the future.

Our renovation was directed towards Kimberly and me. We adore flowers, bright things, but with a touch of cutesy pinks. This would have not been possible to create into a blogger theme if we didn’t have Lana! Lana is an experienced graphic artist who can create just about anything. She knew exactly what we wanted, and turned it into something unimaginable. She has been working on this banner for a little over a week, and it truly shows that she is remarkable in each and every way.

Here at Today’s Top Trends, we enjoy giving our readers things to look forward to so they can stay active and involved. We have put together some features that we are sure you’ll enjoy. These features include; poll questions, competitions, Face of TTT, guest writers, reviews, and exclusive stardoll interviews. We have more coming towards your way as well, but that will remain a surprise. We would also like to congratulate Deidra for winning our most recent competition! Her entry was truly stunning, and she walked away with a massive 1,000 stardollars in prize money. There will be loads of incredible competitions coming up over the nearby months, but this Christmas is going to be an excellent one, I can assure you.
