And I'm the Welite?

Consider this a rant of sorts. Its rare that I get pissed off, but today, someone had the idea in their head thinking that it was a good idea to push my buttons—we'll just leave it at that.

Let the story begin.

After posting a preview of an up and coming graphic over at The Graphic Vault, Eliza, also known as Wooldoor, provides some feedback regarding my graphic. At the time, I could hardly care less. I'm used to receiving harsh feedback; in the end, its what drives me to improve. So, like with all negative responses to my work, I reply.

If you're wondering, I was proving a point, with a slight sarcastic edge. And also because I didn't understand what Eliza was referring to. Unfortunately, sarcasm isn't my strongest suit—especially considering you can't change the tone of your voice while online.

As of this point, I wasn't expecting a reply. But of course, it comes. Being from Jewish herritage, speak of Hitler is almost prohibited in my family. When someone mentions him, a rain of silence follows. And that my friends—is how serious of an offense the comparison to Hitler is to me and my religion. To add to Eliza's remark, she bluntly states as of herself being of a pro. I've always, to say the least, have admired her work. Until now. I'd imagine at this state, Eliza's ego is as big as Asia combined.

By the point I've read her response, I've already posted the final product over at The Graphic Vault. How could I have not seen another insult launched—heading in my direction.

Actually, I did read your tip. And, thanks for the advice, by the way.

As you can see, I listened. I also did attempt to rise the quality of my graphic. If you don't like my graphics, then that's your problem, Eliza. Not mine.

 I just have a few words to say to that...

First, and foremost, I apologize for the few profanities I used. Also the lack of grammar and punctuation; sadly, my knowledge slims when I'm angry. Anyhow...I'm relatively new to the welite concept, however, from the few rumors spread, I've learned its used to call someone a wannabe elite. That—for lack of better words—is so far from the truth. Like you've learned, I could hardly care about being elite, in fact, no one is better than anyone else! How dare you call someone a welite if you don't know the first thing about them? And why did you decide to let your anger out on me...I can't remember—or recall (ha ha)— ever hurting your feelings. Which leads back to the question: why me?

If there's really one word to describe my mood right now, it could only be explained by the following:

New Release: Monster Magazine

Almost 12 months after releasing it's third issue, Monster Magazine today released it's 4th edition. This issue, like all other editions of Monster, was based on a certain designer, with this particular issue being plotted around the brand Chanel. As much as I love Monsters structure I feel as though sometimes reading through the issue can sometimes get reasonably lacklustre due to the fact almost all of the articles are based on the one brand theme. 

The cover girl of this issue was none other than Charlotte, who has been away from the spotlight on Stardoll for quite some time. The editorial was beautiful and Charlotte's makeup transformed her doll, edging her away from that geisha look she is most known for. The text pages looked slightly bare but there isn't much you are able to do with them without ruining the article page and cluttering it up. 

All in all, the issue was a very simplistic edition of the magazine with some really fun articles and many wonderful graphics. The one critique I would give is that the issue wouldn't really appeal to someone who isn't a fashion lover. I know the whole point of these magazines are fashion based but a bit of variety outside of Chanel wouldn't hurt and could entice the reader to get more involved with the issue, considering anyone that isn't interested in Chanel would immediately file this issue as boring. What are your views on this interesting 'Ode to Chanel' issue of Monster?

Monster Magazine Blows On The Scene

The new coming to the publishing scene, the editor-in-chief, AbiiBabeh..x, and the glorious graphic designer, Wooldoor, are bursting out into the Stardoll fashion industry with this fabulous and fierce creation they call Monster Magazine, which obviously is influenced by a love of Lady Gaga. The magazine is also the very first to ever have a real interview with a real celebrity, CC Martini.

The ups about this magazine to me is that the graphics are beautifully done, and the articles are very much so readable and interesting to the eyes. And the anonymous cover-girl brings in mystery and anticipation to the reader's eyes, making them curious and ready to wait for me.

The downs to me would have to be the pages are too small to me, that you need to either focus on them to read or click to enlarge, which is too much effort really and an easy problem to fix. Also the fact that it is Lady Gaga influenced, really, I love Gaga, but really, this would be the twentieth magazine so far, in my opinion, to talk about/feature her, so its nothing new to me at all, which makes the magazine half way uninteresting to me already. And the fact its ANOTHER production that used 'popular' models again, I mean really, its 90+ million members, yet you only see 10 faces constantly, its pretty annoying if you ask me. Though I love this graphic with Mel in it, and I heart Mel, but I get so sick of seeing her me-doll everywhere, its a major downer for me.

Overall, its very well made and put together, so I think its on the right path so far for a good future. Good job.
