Trendy to me is, not caring what people think. Just being yourself and feeling great about what your wearing. It doesn't have to be the latest shoes in vogue or from Alexander McQueen(R.I.P), it can be these cute sneakers you saw at payless for $10. Or this bracelet that you made for yourself. Or even a hand-me-down. Trendy is what you saw your best friend wearing, your mom wearing, or your sister wearing, that you thought was the cutest thing in the world. People think they have to be wearing whats 'in' but what makes you, you. And what makes you feel good about yourself. And not everybody can wear whats trendy. But if you look at everybody they are trendy in their own way.

To me, trendy is not always a good thing. 'Trendy' can mean following the crowd, letting people telling you what looks good and what you should be wearing. Being a fashion sheep never gets you anywhere! Trendy should mean picking a look you like and just running with it, bending and reshaping it to fit your own style.

'Trendy' for me does not just mean the one who who follows modern fashion. Those people who are often called 'trendy' are not unique, they follow trends that they actually do not like, but when others ask them, they say they dress that way because they like it. Quite hypocritical, isn't it?

You follow the trend , for example the death of Michael Jackson ( not trying to be mean ) , every presentation on stardoll was with ''R.I.P. MJ'', the stardesign the same . After two months everything was gone , except the true fans of Michael Jackson . The same in real life , everyone was listening to his music , after 2-3 months only the real fans were . I know the MJ example isn't such a good one .

And that person's style , design , outfit , dress is trendy for most of the people . The trends come and leave , the same for the trendy things ( clothes , persons , movies ). That's all .

It is more about what you choose to wear on the basis of what you like to wear because it looks good and makes you feel great. I don't feel that it is about what others think of you, but rather how you express your self through your clothing, giving you confidence. So the more confident you are, and the more content you are with yourself with regard to the way you dress, the more trendy you are!

Trendy means for me to try new things. One of your stars wears it and you copy. But I'd never copy the outfit. Copy one piece and add your own style with clothes you really like and you bought some time ago. And you don't need to go shopping every weekend to be trendy. Just be creative and combine the things you have already in your wadrobe new. DIY is always trendy for me. To be trendy means to be individual, creative and good-looking for me.

When a person is "trendy" they are following the latest, up to date or chic style. I tend to be choosy about the current trends I will follow as some are fabulous while others can be a bit silly. Its all a matter of balancing personal style with what is popular today. You can be both trendy and unique.

The word trendy means infinity to me. It's infinite, eternal, it has no limits and it's not monotonous. It changes to everyone, it's not one idea, it's thousands, from angle to angle. Everybody looks at life from different angles, and the meaning changes angle to angle too. Every woman is a style, and their definitions to trendy changes too. For me, trendy is being yourself, and wearing clothes which may not be a brand, but which are classy to you and which you show like they are a brand. Inspiring, creative. If someone is trendy, they are wearing something new or daring in a completely original way. Someone who is trendy also has to exude confidence. Because that is what makes a trend so appealing: the clothes, and the confidence that the people wearing the trend have.

Style - This isn't something that comes naturally, you have to find it from within. Don't try to copy others if it looks good on them, find something unique and make it you. Tie ribbons or sew buttons onto your cothes and make it YOU.
Taste - Taste isn't always what is in but it is what is out. Instead of having something that everyone has but in a different colour, taste is having something that no one has but in a customized colour.
Emotion - Emotion is wearing what you want whenever you want depending on your mood.
Feel - Whatever your mood is show it through your clothes and be proud with what you wear.
Colour - Colour is the main thing it really shows your personality from within.

To me, trendy means you keep up with the latest "trends". But its beyond that in a sense that YOU can set your own trends. You have to follow and be followed. It could be shoes you picked up at a thrift shop, or your grandmothers skirt. Or your Dooney and Bourke bag. Trendy has a seperate meaning for everybody. But I think it mainly comes down to confidence. If you are confident in what your wearing, you radiate trendy. YOU set the trend.

to me trendy does not mean being original(that is a trendsetter who wears the clothes before its trendy) but wearing something people used to swear they would never wear but now love it because its fashion and "everyone" wears it.:P
ReplyDeleteTrendy means finding your style and actually putting your own twist on the newest trends. A person able to create outfits everyday using this technique is trendy. Trends can't make or break your style, it could only create a guideline for what you want to create. This is being innovative and creative to make that perfect outfit.

Well... On first place and in my opinion "TRENDY" is not a literal word. yes, is true that it`s related to be "fashionable". BUT FOR ME: is a way of life, a personality definition, and actitude for those who dedicate their time to stylish their decors, wardrobes and specially their expectations on their own sense of fashion and style in order to keep following a fashion tendency for the rest of their lives without even noticed.

trend is your style. Its your original opinion and choices on fashion not your next door neighbours or the 'latest fashion designers' choices. Its what you like and what you feel comfortable in. It can be jeans and a t-shirt or pink lacy gown. Whatever, its what you prefer and not what any one else prefers. Its creative and shows the real you not some fake you hiding behind some pretty frock of lace. Not everyone has to like your style, in fact even if every one hates it, as long as you like it and feel comfortable wearing it, that is trend and that is what fashion is all about

Trendy means to be inspired without hurting your individuality. In the end of the day, fashion, trends can be classified but each human being is unique. It's all about balancing creativity and confidence
