Could They Be The Same Person?

Now, normally I'm not one to make accusations without enough facts, but this time, I feel almost positive that two different users are in fact, the same person... now who could those people be? Lets get the facts strait.

On the left, we have owner of Obscure/Elle/Limitless/Who-the-Hell-Knows-What-Else magazines. She goes by the name of Alex Holmes, aka, Conectt3.

On the right, we have the owner of Fashion/Elle/Fame/Chanel/Cannot-Make-Up-Her-Mind magazines. She goes by the name of Julie Carol, aka, Doggy_Starpuppy.

Not only do both girls have similar styles, but almost identical profiles, not to mention similar graphic styles, and both seem like they can't make up their mind on what to call their multiple magazines. Lets not forget they've both appeared into the dollywood scene mysteriously, and almost at the same time... and when I say same time, its creepy.

While it may appear this is the same print screen, its not (first clue is they have different file names, and if you visit both users, you'll see the same results). Both joined on the same day in 2009, and both girls were seen online last three hours ago (from the printscreens). That's not all though.

These are both directly found off both presentations. While the facts are different, the presentation style is merely the same. They state their names, simple facts, and then share a list of their never-ending project lists.

I'm sorry, but this is just a dead giveaway. Conectt3's facts are the ones on top, and Doggy_Starpuppy's facts are the ones on the bottom. They are very similar, with various different answers. Don't you find it strange that they say they both look like Kiera Knightly, have the same interests in celebritites, music, dream jobs, and tv shows? Strange, right?

I might be less convinced they were the same person if they didn't put that they were each other's BFF, but seriously, this is strange. Also, both girls aren't afraid of advertising their multiple magazines by creating multiple clubs.

This is just the base of their stardoll users. Not only are they similar through dolls, also the fact that they have waaaaayyyy too many magazines, and their graphic styles are almost identical. Lets take a look, shall we?

First of all, these are just one of each girl's magazines. If I'm correct, they both own three magazines each or so. If in fact Conectt3 and Doggy_Starpuppy are the same person, then she has 6 magazines to write, create and publish each month! Does that say crazy, or what? Y'know, I'm starting to think this girl (or girls), have the tendency to not being able to make up their mind.

Also, what's strange is that they both urged the courage to make a magazine called Elle? Its not a very original name, so I'll give props to not wanting to take hours to come up with a name, but seriously? Not only do they have similar taste in names, but the graphic style in general is very close. The hair style could only be created by one person, since everyone has a different style graphic-wise. Even using the same technique, the outcome is very different. But these two girls? They have a style that could only be created by on person, and by one person only. Not only similar style in graphics, but they have a tendency to make the body and face different shades of color.

Both Conectt3 and Doggy_Starpuppy have that strange name as their blogger profile, and even admit they live in the same place. And I wasn't kidding about their endless list of projects, as you can see.

And its not just me who thinks they are the same person. New to the dollywood scene is an anonymous who goes by the name GD-reviews accuses "one" of the two girls of thinking they are both the same person. Conectt3 quickly denies it, but do I believe it? No, absolutely not.

Could they both in fact be the same person? I'm starting to wonder if these/this girl(s) want to be exposed like this to get some attention. Could they in fact be two people, perhaps friends or sisters? We'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

The Return of TSS?

The Stardoll Shiner is coming back!
Most of you know the Stardoll Shiner as the on and off blog. It's been around for a long time, but has had it's fair-share of shut downs and re-openings. Current owner, Patrick(Devie44) re-opened the blog about 10 months ago. The success was limited with only a few active writers and some not even posting.

A mass message was sent out to alert the media and spread the word which included an image.
Here it is:

So, what do you think? Will you apply and join the Stardoll Shiner team?

I Wouldn't Exactly Call That A "Deal"

It wasn't until reccently that I've realized that I haven't posted on Today's Top Trends for a while. When your lacking fun in the summer months, you find yourself crawling back to stardoll, and tend to stay there for hours at a time. Enough with my random babbling, the real reason I made this post was to explain why the "Olympic Pass" isn't quite a deal. Throughout the post, you'll also learn regular stardollar/superstar purchases aren't great deals either.

Lets take a look at what stardoll's offering us this time around...

While the details look good and all, none of the stardoll offers are worth it. Starting off with the stardollar/starcoin portion of the offer. 200 stardollars can buy quite a lot, plus 300 starcoins is pretty good too. Lets convert the starcoins into stardollars...

300 starcoins equals 30 stardollars, and adding that onto the other 200 stardollars stardoll promises us, the grand total is 230 stardollars to spend on whatever you'd like. The catch? You are only superstar for one month. The last time I topped up on superstar membership, I remember getting more stardollars than that. How much is one month of superstar worth in stardollars?

Only 30 more stardollars on the Olympic Pass? Maybe its just my personal thought, but that isn't quite a deal. I can easily make that much by selling something in the starbazaar, what's the big deal? If you were to top up on stardollars, this is how much you'd get:

Not only is the Olympic Pass a rip off, but the amount of stardollars you get for a certain price (US Currency) is unbelievable. Think about it, only one dollar more, and you get a month of superstar. Buying more superstar is more reasonable in my opinion than topping up on stardollars. Has Stardoll been calling these "deals" for nothing?

Finally, the Olympic Pass promises seven exclusive gifts, but are they really that exclusive? Lets take a look at what stardoll promises us with the pass:

What the heck? What is with the number "12" on the dress on the right? I'm sorry, but these clothes look like something I could find at a Kmart or even Target. Soon enough, these "Limited Items" will be available in the starbazaar, and those dying to get rid of them in exchange for some much needed cash will sell the items for cheap. Who are you fooling now Stardoll?

So, all in all, I'd say this isn't exacly a "deal," but of course, that's just one opinion. Let me know your personal thoughts about the Olympic Pass in comments.

AN UPDATE.

The first few weeks of top commenter winners are: Hollyoaksrocks*, Mandylou4 & Flowerpin... Please each put an item up for 25 stardollars each. Top commenter will begin again this week. Sorry for being rather unorganised with it.

We're currently searching for writers, so send me a request or dollmail me on Stardoll if you are interested. I may post applications later on if I have to. I'm currently (right at this moment exactly..) designing the banner for the new makeover. I know there has been TONS lately and they aren't what matters, but they have all been ugly and temporary so I really need an overhaul.

Thanks for your patience with everything,
Kimberly.

ORIGINAL PRINCIPLES; The Doll

Stardoll was a website that was originally created to allow the user to dress up famous celebrities and role models from around the world. There was clearly quite a large gap in the market at that time, but Stardoll quickly filled this, clocking up more and more members daily. Back then there was no beauty parlour, starplaza, clubs.. Not a single medoll to be seen. The main and only aspect of 'Paperdoll Heaven' was solely for dressing up dolls.

But has Stardoll lost it's first actual purpose?... Does anyone actually bother with dress up dolls anymore? Because Stardoll certainly doesnt.

The quality of dolls on Stardoll now are very low in most cases, with simplistic shading on the clothes, and the same body shading, with different skin tone shades used for each doll. Not to mention the fact that most dolls are totally unheard of. Although there may be alot of dolls, I can still certainly see some famous people right now that are lacking dolls.

I know that Stardoll obviously have so many more priorities now, but as they are such a wealthy company and business can't they afford to put more effort into dolls with some graphic designers?

Obviously, when Paperdoll Heaven first came out, the quality was extremely weak, but that was fine, because in all fairness it was only 2004 and the site was just starting up. But in further years Stardoll developed their graphic skills and began making some beautiful dolls with top notch effort put into all of them.

Let's take a trip down memory lane and look at some of the older dolls...

How gorgeous! There is tons of shading on the face and hair and it is clear there was a huge amount of effort put in... And the dolls that are released today?

First off I have no idea who this person actually is. Don't get me wrong I'm sure she is known by many, but I for one am clueless. Secondly, they have literally drawn the face then left it. There is no true shading efforts..That hair? Don't get me started.

What do you think? Next time.. Sceneries.

15 years... The V is for Versace

It's been 15 years, since Gianni Versace has been killed in his Miami villa and all I can say is that Donatella is doing an amazing job.

Froms, materials, colors... Gianni is attached to every detail of his work. It's in 1978 that he decides to rule the world with a Fashion Line. He makes it really well that many stores open around the world. The feminine and male lines he creates with so many elegance, dropping trends with a touch of originality make Gianni Versace goes always higher. Accessories are launched as well as fragrances, which put the brand to a whole other level. It's in 1992 that he first shows to the world Versace Atelier, the Haute Couture line of Gianni Versace.
During all these years Gianni Versace became a real Icon, expanding and creating so many things of this Versace empire. He won so many awards, while Donatella was designing Versus. His true and kind relation with her sister were just as a good as their work.

But, today... now being 15 years, Donatella took it as her own and god knows how well she rules it. Gianni worked 19 years for his own brand before being killed and now her sister is working for it since 15 years.

To me, Versace means so many things in Fashion. Plus, Donatella must be a Muse to me just as she was for his brother. I saw various TV emissions in which she was featured and she's really an incredible woman for me, you know what I mean.
Today in Stardoll I am wearing Versace, from LE 9th collection. But there are several other items that were inspired by Versace all over the starplaza stores... just look at this:

Seen On Stardoll is surely the best place to see that.

TOO LATE STARDOLL?

Okay, actually the title is just to introduce an item I love and have been waiting for since... few months!

I'm talking about the Shark Tooth Necklace released at starplaza sooner today. We all know the Givenchy one, right? If not, just look at this picture, you might recognize it.

Oh, who's the model? Erin Wasson!
She rocks at the Givenchy fashion show!

So, yes the stardoll version is this one:

Great, no? I personally love it, and this time stardoll made it well. And I love this kind of necklace. It's new, and the fact that is a necklace also shows a paradox. It's classic, eccentric, but it's just a necklace, so people won't really mind.

But looking at my agenda of trends by a french girl, me, I remember about this Vogue Paris issue;

If you wonder, "Avril" means April. So don't you think it's too late as trend? Of course that there are 2 collections every year, not 4... But if it's in fashion in Spring, then why did Stardoll released it in Summer?

Anyway, that's the Stardoll logic and I can't say anything, because I'm still really happy to finally have it. Don't we say : "Better late than never"?... But still, I hope they won't make a Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Acne, Alexander McQueen.... Tribute store when we'll all be dead, because that would be too late!

Find it at the Bonjour Bizou store for 7sd.

P.S. Here is how I wear it:

Comments? Like the necklace?

TRIP TO PARIS FASHION WEEK (Episode 3)

So, now let's close this series of posts by talking about the most famous french brand ever... It's on our list, everyone wants a Chanel bag, such as everyone loves Chanel, right?

The Chanel woman, is very nature, she likes minerals and she surely enjoy classic colors, such as she always wore in her all life because of her mother who were already really classic. Chanel is here since so much time, that it's in her family.

She can also be called futuristic as she creates new volumes on her sleeves, uses some geometric forms and wears some cosmic jewelry on her eyebrows. Tweeds, silver coats, and metals also show her robot aspect of her futuristic idea of life.
Very urban, sometimes sportswear or even casual wear, she's more a woman that enjoys to be out and show her clothes.
One of her big news today, is to wear pants under her skirt. Now it's official, the trend is in for her and she'll wear it all the season till Karl say something else.

It's good to see this futuristic part of Chanel, the references are all really well worked out to show us an incredible collection. I'm kind of speechless in front of all these amazing pieces of Ready-To-Wear, I truly believe Karl made an amazing choice on the tissues and layers and of course it's now synonym of new things. Instead of making collections that wear just classics and formal, but still making fashion, Karl is now inventing new silhouettes and so create fashion.

So what do you think about this collection?

TRIP TO PARIS FASHION WEEK (Episode 2)

LOUIS VUITTON

So, now, let's talk about the Louis Vuitton woman.

The Louis Vuitton woman is a cinema lover, she likes the big scenes and be seen! In all ways, she loves to be eccentric and elegant.
She often travels, and whenever she does it, she likes having her personal luggage carrier near to her. As she travels a lot her eyes are a proof that she's tired as much as she change the city, so she puts her sunglasses. Even, when it's getting to cold, her hat is her best friend because it also makes her look taller and her heels aren't enough is some cases.
Between the fluo fur, ostrich leather carry case, croco with Swarovski, oversized tote with iridescent monogram, micro bags, and so many other things... She's sometimes lost. But between all of that, she actually keep the same silhouette.
Then, on her sophisticated period, she wears leather patchworks, mosaic, tweeds and embroidery.

More than just a fashion show. Marc Jacobs succeeds on making us travel and dreaming in a cinema way! Back to a great period, the silhouette is in bell with few layers. All I would say is that is maybe too much, even if the collection is wonderful, it keeps being maybe too much inspirations. It's like 150 years of the line in one collection. Not saying it's bad nor good, it's just getting a lot and sometimes it can confuse the woman who wants to ear LV today, as she could be realizing it's not that Ready-To-Wear. But I LOVE Louis Vuitton, and the collection is way bigger than expected so my eyes keep shinning!

So, what do you guys think about that collection?

Paris Trip to the Fashion Week

Hello, there! I first want to tell you that a new Outlet of Victory & Klaus as just opened, Reece is the owner of if, me being the founder and writer for it now. It's a Fake Gossip blog and Street Style blog at the same time, called Klaus Gossips. I'd truly be happy if you could go there and follow. Just click here.

Now coming to my point, it's Fashion Week at Paris, and while Dior wants to turn the page of John Galliano, Louis Vuitton just make a comeback to the past with a real locomotive at the Louvre, and without forgetting the Karl Lagerfeld touch at Chanel. In this post I'll be studying the silhouettes, the references and let you know about the future Fall/Winter 2012-2013 trends, and what will be in fashion there. Please see it a bit like a tv documentary, I'll pop up with pictures that you should have in mind while I'm talking about something so you can better understand and see most of the show!

DIOR HAUTE COUTURE

So the Dior Couture woman is fully integrated in the 21rst century. She sometimes likes to be unseen by the crowd
wearing a simple black blazer and pants of the same color to just be perfectly class. But the Dior Couture woman is visionary, she turns the famous jacket into a coat that she enjoys in glamorous red.
'Paradox' is a word that she loves, even wearing a long dress, she shows us everything about her body
But still, it's important to her to have ball gowns. And she's now happy to get new ones! A waisted size, grey chic, contemporary aura are most part of the Dior Couture woman vocabulary.

After all, she's a taking risk woman. If it's not the neo-length of the dress that is new, it's the new kind of jumpsuit she's wearing.
Pockets make her put her hands in it, and walk unworried and relaxed. The organza just sublime opened add the touch of uniqueness she's keen on to make her look like a Dior woman.

Raf Simons knows well the Dior codes, and got them right on this collection. The outfits were accessorized in a minimalistic way, which let people see more into the clothes itself. With all of that, the silhouettes are really waisted size but for then look like a gown at the hips. The tissues are really specifics from Dior and just show their harmony by simply using them quite every time.
It's a good collection, that I'd call versatile, but that comeback of what make us recognize Dior from the others and is using today techniques to achieve in their ideas of the evolution of the Dior woman.

Then, I hope you enjoyed this post, it's quite risky and unseen to make such a post. But I got inspired... So please tell me if you like it, and say what you think about this Dior collection?

Be right back with episode 2, Louis Vuitton...
