  1. Christmas to me means memories. It's the time to share laughs & stories, to love and cherish what has been given to you, and to remember that which has been lost.

  2. Christmas to me means memories in the making. It's the time to laugh, to talk, to sing, to dance and to do whatever else brings you more joy on such a wonderful day. Christmas means family getting together with close friends and parting till dawn. Christmas also means seeing the smiles on peoples faces when they open the gifts I've given me- I love it even more than receiving presents myself.

  3. My Christmas means much more to me then shallow things such as getting gifts. I help out during this holiday time of year at my local shelter. I don't mind helping other people because I am already so grateful that I am in a loving home. So why not share your wealth(happiness) with those who are less fortunate such as the homeless. Also Christmas brings me back to my child hood memories such as playing out in the snow with Jack Frost nipping at your nose and running in just to catch some warmth. After that all we would catch some Movies on the TV(Frosty the snowman, etc). Christmas In general for me is being thankful and grateful & helps me start a little bit sweeter when New years comes around.

  4. Honestly, I don't really have words to explain Christmas, since I don't believe in the religion that Christmas follows after, however my family still celebrates it. I think Christmas is the time of year when you really get to show your love to your family, not in gifts, but love. I don't think presents are worth it, to be honest, letting those around you that they mean the world to you is not compared to any shiny new Birkin bag.

  5. Because I am a Catholic, I believe in Jesus and Mary. I believe that he was born on December 25. I know that some may disagree but I don't mind. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I see Christmas a time of celebration for the one who saved us all years ago was born. Without him we wouldn't be here. Therefore I see Christmas as a time to remember things that happened long ago and where we would be without them.

  6. Christmas means spending time at home and with my family and friends, it means putting them before myself, and keeping in the spirit of giving. It means getting to go to church and sing carols on christmas eve, and getting to relax after a hard term of work at uni. It means getting to listen to some of the best music ever - i.e. christmas music! And watching some classic TV(plus some you'd never watch!)
It also means the year is coming to an end, and that the new year is coming, which you hope provides you more fun and some great memories!

    Lots of love,
    K xxx

  7. Christmas always meant to me visiting family members who are truly dear to me. My aunty passed away in April of this year due to cancer and every year we would go to her house and celebrate Christmas. She was in a wheelchair for 11 and 1/2 yrs. We would always go to her house because she was always upset. The real reason for visiting her was because she always said that she was excited when we came over: "My sister, her husband and my nieces are coming over to see me. They are the only ones who do." I would always feel happy when she smiled(:

The true meaning of Christmas is being there to make people smile. They shouldn't just smile because they received presents but because you've all gathered together as one to celebrate how families should.

  9. to me, Christmas is a time to celebrate the past year and embrace the new. It is a time for families to come together and resolve past conflicts, and it is a time to remember those who have passed (my grandmother in particular for me, this is our first Christmas without her) as well as celebrating new life (my new cousin Riley).

  10. Christmas is a Joyful Time of Year

Christmas means a joyful time of year. It makes me think of giving. There is so much joy going on. Christmas is all about Jesus. You know it’s easier to celebrate Christmas if you know Jesus. Jesus' birth was on Christmas. That’s how it got it’s name. The first word spells Christ. This reminds me of a story about when Mary had baby Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem. Christmas is the most joyful time of year; knowing that Jesus was born on that day.

  12. Christmas to me means being together with my family, enjoying some nice food my mom made, maybe visiting some places, decoarting the Christmas tree, having our annual 'gift hunt' (where we have to search the gifts trough the house, and we have some clues)...It's hard to describe but it has an incredible nice feeling you get inside of you, the feeling I call 'Christmas Joy'.

  13. It's very tough to explaining what Christmas means to me. Everything changes and my spirit lifts in coordination with the spirits of the season.

Most of all, I love giving gifts. It truly is all about this: giving is better than receiving.

  14. White landscapes, hot cookies, presents, reading books near the fireplace and do not forget to feel love and joy!

  15. Christmas simply means a time to give and share. Give to those who have given to you so many times. Yes, honestly we all do enjoy recieving gifts though when i personally hand over presents to my family and friends i love seeing their reactions and knowing that the effort i have made has actually paid off. I wait all year just to have a reason to listen to some classic christmas songs like Slade and Wham! I love decorations, i mean Christmas without a Christmas tree? Amazing! And lastly, who doesn't love being surrounded by those you love? It's a time for peace and to come together and remember those who will not be in a warm home with a loving family but on the streets with nothing or people living in such poverty that Christmas is something they'd rather do without. It's the sign of the end of a long yet enjoyable year, and the start of another.

  16. To me, christmas is more about the giving. I mean, I love to make people happy and please them, so this is what i do! It is also a great time to bond with my family and just forgt what is happening around us and to slow down and relax. I lovve putting up the christmas tree, cause at the end i get a feeling of self accomplishment because it looks gorgeous when finished! I dream of having a white christmas one day, but it is very unlikely!

  17. Christmas is the time and everyone in my family gets together. Sometimes we are 7, sometimes 10 and sometimes even more. We celebrate how gratefull we are for having each other. It's two days of pure fun. We start on the night of the 24th and it only end on the morning of 26th. It's more like three days :)

  18. I sit down at my desk and process a few thing to go bye, could it be the decorating, the beautiful clothing, lovely times with friends? In reality, Christmas can't work without one of these factors coming after another, or else; it would be another holiday stumping on our calender.

I'd rather not write an essay because it would be a pity to put you to sleep so it is more efficient if I paraphrase. Christmas, is a great and splendid celebration.

Christmas originates from religious events but now even non religious people celebrate it, or people of different religions.

As a Christian, I strive to picture Christmas as the even in which we get to touch basis with the gift of giving, other than Thanksgiving, it is the only holiday solely engraved in this. Therefore, Christmas is a picturesque time where we help others. Not only giving your uncle his favorite GPS, or little Susy a talking doll, but also to the less fortunate, who really deserve a warm save and belly filling Christmas as us. That, to me - is the joy in my eyes, what Christmas means to me.

  19. Christmas means a lot to me. I have lots of amazing memories from every family meeting on holidays. I just love meeting my grandma and cousins because we all always have a good time together. Christmas gifts never played a big role in my life because I never actually asked for something from my 'wishlist'. I never was like really rich so I knew I'm not going to get something that I wanted anyways because I always had some big dreams :). Actually I think that christmas spirit is something more than just giving away gifts and waiting for your own dreams to come true. It's more about interaction to me, because I love spending my christmas holidays with my friends and family. Christmas to me also associates with peace because I try to be nice to everyone. Christmas is so much more than just plain decorations and christmas trees it's also a magical time when all your dreams come true. I always before dreaming something for myself also think about my family and friends and wish them all the best :)

  20. mines nothing soppy.

christmas to me means sitting down with family on one day, pretending like everythings alright, passing each other material things and saying thank you out of habit rather than being polite.

the thing that gets me excited about christmas is it being so close to the new year, now thats what I look forward to.

  21. Well for many people Christmas can mean so many things, but to me it means family. There isn't many days where my family comes together and makes a special dinner and have time to talk to one another. We are a very busy family and we don't have much time to talk to one another. But on that day we gather our family together and sometimes have visitors come over to join and dine with us. Family means so much to me because without family your life isn't the same.

  25. Christmas to me means spending time with my family. In my opinion, Christmas is the best time of year. There's so much happiness world-wide, as people are gathered at home celebrating with their family and friends, and people from all different walks-of-life come together to sing carols and have fun.

  26. Christmas means: JESUS. The day he came to give all joy as well as family and friends all together. Sing and laughing, dancing, talking. To share what is ours to everyone around us. To be grateful for all. It's not about the money as Jessie J says. Remembering what we have and what is gone. To invite new lives in and to the old so bye. :D

    Thanks so much

  27. Christmas is one of the most magical time in year. Not just because of all this gifts that you get. True meaning of it is when your family and all relatives come together and have fun, smile and life for the moment. It's also time when you can give presents to other people.. and they don't need to be big one, but this 'perfect' one. When you can share happiness and love, and when you know that more love that you share more love you will get back.

  28. For me Christmas is the best day of the year, the universe is magical it makes me think a night, the stars, the snow, the smell of firs; good food Francaise ... It is also a time when everyone is happy, or at least pretends to be. But everyone forgets their problems and share a friendly moment with your family and that is what is magic ... The magic of Christmas!

(Sorry for my bad english but I'm French ^ ^ Merry Christmas!)

  30. Christmas means a lot to me, it means finally seeing all my family after a year without them. My life is quite problematic which means i cannot live with my family. I still get to see them all at Christmas and we have a huge get-togather. This is my favourite time of the year, for many reasons. I like to show my respect and thankfullness to everyone by giving out presents. Recieveing presents isn't important to me as i don't really list for things. I'm happy with my life as it is. I do like to know that people are grateful for my company over time, so i like recieving small gifts, its the thought that counts. Christmas is blessing, you get to sit down and have a nice meal, and be grateful for everything in your life. I join the choir and i decorate my house MASSIVELY. I'm a big fan of christmas spirit and i love seeing everyone being jolly and all the lights.
Christmas will always mean a lot to me and it will always be the time of the year where i can let myself go and forget about everything and just be happy.
