That's the one that really got me. Everybody knows that there are 52 weeks in a year, yes? 250 weeks equals 1,750 days of membership and a huge 4 years and 42 weeks of Superstar. (4.75..) ALMOST 5 YEARS OF SUPERSTAR! Is this gigantic offer too good to be true? Or is Stardoll finally feeling in the generous mood?
On further inspection you can also see that a brand new store called Mawi is coming to Stardoll on the 25th April 2012. Here is what Stardoll has to say about Mawi...

250 weeks of superstar? This is definately a mistake. They probably meant 250 days or so. The Stardoll stuff make mistakes all the times(starplaza prizes for example)... I'm quite excited about Mawi

ReplyDeleteI'm from Russia, and we have this page in russian, so there's written 250 weeks, too. I think, it's not a mistake, 'cause only one from 250k will get this prize.

ReplyDeleteNot necessarily, I've seen the same advertising technique being used before; but I'll admit that being so used to Stardoll's antics that I didn't actually read the fine print, lol. Whatever, either way, someone's going to get very lucky.
5 years of superstar membership and only 250 stardollars. I spend more than that in a day, because of the prices in Starplaza, not sure if it's worth to be a poor superstar doll for 5 years if you can't use the advantages of it. And I kind of wonder if it's not going to end up like one of the 'one day superstar' campaigns when they only give you this golden frame on your avatar and that's pretty much all you get with it. I doubt they would give away 250 weeks of Superstar in a fair way.
