Fashion Focus - Get Trendy

The summer months have arrived and if you don't know what the hottest trends from S/S 2013 are then you're in the right place. We're rounding up only a select few of the runway trends from this season, in our S/S 2013 trend round up.

From bold graphic prints to oriental styling and monochrome colour play this is set to be a vintage year for must-try trends. We're craving jumbo statement stripes and faux flower florals - so read on to discover your favourite new trends for summer.

Sixties - The sixties are still providing a host of fashion inspiration for designers with Victoria Beckham, Louis Vuitton and Prada all bringing back some classic sixties shapes.

Statement Stripes - Get ready to make a statement this summer in jumbo sized stripes. They were seen everywhere over the runways and will be a trend that keeps on going. Whether you wear them bold in black and white or mix things up with colour at Paul Smith, one thing's for sure - you'll be turning heads! If you wish to view more runway shoes where these bold stripes were featured check out Acne, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Giles or Marc Jacobs.
Minimalism - Topshop Unique, Calvin Klein and Nicole Farhi all know how to do minimalism with panache. Many adore the simple lines and cool colours for a no nonsense approach to style. Check these out at the S/S 2013 shows from Calvin Klein, Hermes, Margaret Howell, Nicole Farhi, Topshop Unique or Valentino.

Sheen Team - Metallic is a hard trend to nail, but if you're going to sheen then you should go all out. Take Dior's beautiful high shine dresses and Diane Von Furstenberg's use of shimmering textures for inspiration. Find more at Burberry Prorsum, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jonathon Saunders, Mulberry, or Christian Dior.

Faux Flower Power - The trend for in your face faux flowers was nailed by Holly Fulton, who whacked oversized posies on her dresses, top and skirts in a full on floral collection. Want to view more? Take a look at Anna Sui, Moschino Cheap & Chic and Fashion East.

Part two of this post, with the competition will be posted tomorrow!
Credit for a lot of this trend report goes to www.sofeminine.com. I'm currently in planning for TTT FW however I don't want to leave this weekend at the blog post-less. Only the trends are from the above website, not the competition or post ideas.
