eamonn's STYLE FILE - Modern Style Walkers #1
Hi Everyone, I've begun a segment called 'eamonn's STYLE FILE', where each
Friday I create a look that is one, affordable, and two, very fashionable.
Each week, I would like to know what you think of the look, and would you ever
wear this look in real life.

The Return of the Swan
I’m pretty sure Lady
Gaga has made her return to your iPods recently due to the rushed release of her incredible
new single, Applause – which was originally to be released on Monday, 19th
of August along with her very “artsy” music video, directed by non-other than
Inez & Vinoodh. Like any other Little Monster, I was waiting two years
for new Gaga material, but a fashion eater that I am; I was looking
forward to the new style Gaga would great us with. Might I add, she had her ups & her downs.
Firstly, Lady Gaga was spotted wearing this incredible Alexander Wang for Balenciaga Resort 2013/2014 Dress along with what seems to be a telephone wire earrings & bracelet & a pair of Tom Ford Sunglasses. From this look along, we know that Gaga is taking a more mature turn with ARTPOP, and the clothes she wears. But as a personal opinion, I love this look. It's so simple, yet accessorizing the garment with telephone wires keeps it looking well, Gaga! Although, there is a slight dilemma with this dress as a piece - it doesn't photograph well from the side. With the type of fabric used, it doesn't show off Gaga's figure in the best light.
I give this look: 9/10
Later that day, Lady Gaga was spotted wearing another Alexander Wang creation for Balenciaga Autumn/Winter 2013. As I'm basing this entire post on my own personal opinion - I wasn't feeling this look all too much. On the runway, both the cracked sweater & the peplum trousers were quite smaller. The sleeves were an inch or so above the wrist & the leg of the trousers were a few inches above the ankle. On the runway, I adored this look; it was one of my favorites from the collection. If Gaga wore the entire look from the runway I think she would have looked wonderful. But this just looks frumpy. Oh, and I'm not a fan of the miss-matched shoes. Although, the hair & make-up for this look looks incredibly flawless. Fresh faced.
I give this look: 7/10
On Monday, Gaga joined the hosts of 'Good Morning America' for the premiere of Applause wearing this avant garde, Mathieu Mirano, created entirely from paper, yes paper. Although it seems very Gaga - but it feels like something she'd wear from the Born This Way Era, don't you agree? In the first look (above) the grandma hair looks chic, but in this picture, it just screams Cynthia Germanotta (Gaga's mother). The silhouette in itself doesn't float my boat. It just looks like gluing the dress pattern together - and just looks like something Timothy Westbrook would create.
I give this look: 4/10
As Lady Gaga continues her promotional tour for both Applause & ARTPOP, I'll be sure to keep you all up-to-day on her latest fashions. But, enough of my opinions - I want to know what you think and who should I follow next?

FW Night One: The Best to Worst (PART 1)
J.ORDAN
(BEST DRESSED) Kimberly: I absolutely adore this outfit! I feel that it would have been perfect without the bag and with different shoes - but even so your face, hair and dress are all so perfect that I can't not give this top marks! 10/10 Hilmy: I must say, this is hands down my favourite outfit of the night! It is truly perfection and that's all I can say. I wasn't a big fan of this skirt previously but I love it in your ensemble. 10/10

Then and Now: Limited Edition
Limited Edition first came to Stardoll in the December of 2008. Many were shocked by the massive prices but the collection was perfection and it was also extremely limited, with only 100-350 pieces on all items. It is the most sought after collection of Limited Edition and is extremely rare, with prices now shooting up to the 20,000 stardollar mark.
The second collection came in the February of 2009. It was known as the Valentines or Denim collection and was full of pastel pinks, red hues and summer blues. Although it definitely isn't as wanted as the first edition, it is still a mostly beautiful collection with some truly gorgeous garments. The LE Cupid Dress is the most wanted item, with only 150 pieces available to purchase.
Now, only a mere four years later, we are on the 17th collection of Limited Edition. Prices and quality have both been drastically dropped, with items and quantities shooting up. The 17th edition of LE was released in late June 2013 and was heavily inspired by the Versace Spring Summer 2013 collection which Stardoll failed to replicate - leading to the loss of beauty which was presented in the real life collection.
Although LE is still nowhere near as good as it first was back in the early days of 2009, it is still showing signs of becoming a sought after and truly exciting envision once again. What are your thoughts on LE then and now? What is your favourite collection? Let us know in the comments below.

Yes To Fall 2013
Autumn is eagerly approaching, and as everyone knows, with every new season comes a whole host of new trends for the upcoming fashion months. Care to check out some of the hottest trends from this upcoming fall? Keep reading on.
Classic Prints: Are you tired of the floral and kaleidoscope prints that were everywhere during spring? Then welcome in classic prints like houndstooth for the fall months. Houndstooth goes with almost everything, don't shy away from wearing it to the office - menswear fabrics create a chic and professional touch.
Leopard Print: One of the hottest trends of this fall is most probably already in your closet - leopard print is back again for yet another season. Play with different colours of leopard print this time around, browns and blacks will always be there so try some fun options like pink and red too. Remember not to overdo it, a bit of leopard goes a long way!
Leather pieces: Leather is back for another season of trend notoriety. Instead of a full outfit of leather, go for one staple leather piece alongside other small trends and basic pieces - or edge it up for a moto look.
Emerald Green: Hints of emerald green are perfect for fall 2013, with Pantone choosing the shade as it's top colour for the year. Try paring the colour with other jewel tones such as amethyst, sapphire and garnet. Make sure to look for different ways to incorporate the shade into your daily outfits - a bag or high heels in this beautiful hue is the exclamation of your ensemble.
Layering: Take the hint from BCBG and add an interesting touch to your fall outfit choices by adding on a few extra pieces. Mix textures with your skirts, tops, and pants - an outfit with many components should look as streamlined as possible.
Winter White: The temperature is dropping, however that doesn't mean we have to always reach for dark colours! Why not grab some white instead? Save your floaty dresses for spring, dress for the season in chunky knits, dresses and jackets made for the Fall/Winter season.
Military: Military was all around at the fall 2013 Fashion weeks. You heard it, khaki green is about to become a staple in every fashion lover's wardrobe. Don't be afraid to take a girly twist on the military trend by adding accents and details like lace or brocade.

Punk This
We all know by now that the punk inspirations are every where and the bigger they get the more they appear through the fashion scene of Stardoll, with many stardollians adopting this look. Two girls, Elle (rockinellee) and Helen (_starhelen_), have both been captured rocking this trend recently, wearing black t shirts and a strong punk attitude to match. Who looks best?

Your Thoughts: Mod Market
Before anyone asks - the best dressed lists are coming! They will all be released in the next week or so. Thank you for being patient while I take a break from regular posts at TTT.
Earlier today a new store entitled Mod Market was released to the Starplaza, featuring a selection of both fashion and interior items, with prices ranging from 7-24 stardollars. Although I find the concept of the store very cute and somewhat original for Stardoll, I'm left disappointed with the quality for the entirety of the clothing. The prices are average for a Stardoll clothing store, with the interior items are heavily overpriced as per usual. What are your thoughts on this new shop? Comment below and I will add your thoughts to the post.
Vivian: I think the initial idea is a pretty decent one, but after a while, I'd think they'd start running out of concept ideas pretty fast...
Anonymous: When I saw the message in my inbox I was a bit anxious to see what the items would look like but I was disappointed that there were only few items of clothing in the store & lots of interior items & I wondered why the furniture items weren't just included in the pop shop store & the few clothes put in the wild candy, original future or any of the other stores with that theme. Most of their new releases only have very few starcoin items or none at all, which makes that currency almost pointless. I don't like the patterns on the fabric although I like the red & teal platform shoes, the wigs & the bags. This shop might be like the fever shop which stayed only for a short time at starplaza, & it looks like a store (apart from the furniture) from short term sponsor stores like D-signed etc not main collections.

LadyGagaMcqueen: I think it looks cheap to be honest. Too many colors without any real difference in concept... Nothing really interesting in my opinion. I thought of maybe buying the Mondrian dress, but it doesn't look as the YSL one at all..and yes 18 stardollars is too much for a dress with such an unattractive shape! Still it's a style that some might like...

Frankie Morello 2.0
Today, the second edition of Frankie Morello on Stardoll was released, being the fourth store in our line up of Tributes from this year. This colourful sporty collection is inspired by the SS 2013 collection with prices ranging from 10 to 29 stardollars. Overall I feel that this collection is probably the strongest graphic wise from the selection of tributes this year alongside Giambattista Valli Couture. I understand that the colours and pieces in general may not be to everyones taste, but there are certainly a few items in there for everyone. I picked up six items and I'm currently looking into a few others - What are your thoughts on this new tribute? Do you prefer the first edition of Frankie Morello or do you like this release better? Let us know in the comments.
