PLEASE READ:
I was expecting to host a launch party for all of our viewers, that will not be happening. As you can see the new look is not completed. My team and I have run into extreme and unexpected delays making the process for renovations much slower than expected.
I found myself restless when it came to not being able to blog. So while the blog is not completely renovated, the show must go on. You can expect a banner up sometime soon, along with all new blogging gadgets! There should be some new posts up within the next few hours as well!
Stay tuned!

Lauren Conrad in Teen Vogue
A lot of you now know that Tyler's Top Trends is getting a fashion face lift. We will now be featuring everything fashion in all sense of the word.
Today I wanted to share this video with you, behind-the-scenes footage of Lauren Conrad's shoot for the November issue of Teen Vogue. There's also a little interview that goes along with it. She shares her best tip when new to the fashion industry and that is: get a thick skin. Not that I am pointing fingers or anything *laughs*! I am a big fan of Lauren's. Her style is so fresh and fun! I cannot wait for her new reality-documentary T.V. show.
Are you a fan? Did you find her advice interesting or helpful?

What Were They Thinking?: oscareed
Because of the intense feedback from my last post, I decided to put this segment into full force. Now, above, we have oscareed. Listen, I love the makeup, it is very sultry and she is really rocking that smokey eye, the accessories are nice (those bangles may be a little much) - BUT take a look at that dress! *quivers*
If this was the real world it would be safe to say that it does NOTHING for her figure. It does have sex appeal, the open leg and everything, but then you take a look at the waist and see this big pocket of fabric. No, no, no. It honestly looks like a shower curtain with the bubbles and everything. Oops they're pearls huh? Supposed to be anyways.

Eternity Magazine is Dead
Stardoll Fashion Week is over and one of the big releases everyone was looking forward to was Eternity Magazine's September issue. However, many blogs are reporting that Eternity canceled last minute.
Whether or not this is true, the newest owner of 'E', N1mka4eva is really lacking when it comes to marketing and press. It once was an amazing magazine, it doesn't mean it will always be considered one. It just does not work that way.
And even if the issue is released later on in the month, it still won't make up for it. At least for me anyways. Tyler's Top Trends is deeming it: Eternity Magazine is dead!
Beauty Craze: Loud Mouths
Spring/Summer 2011
Milan Fashion Week
Orange/red and glossy at Gucci, graphic and in three different colour variations at Fendi, just-kissed at Dolce & Gabbana, fuchsia at Jil Sander, matte and orange at Marni - one thing is for sure, in Milan, lips were by far the most important point of focus where beauty was concerned. Whether it was to reflect the colour-blocking in the clothes, or a nod to the Seventies as per the emerging and most prolific trend of the season (Fendi and Marni), bright lips are in. Meaning that for the new season it's not a question of whether one should wear lipstick, but more one of what colour and which effect. Pucker up!
Stardoll Fashion Week: It's Over
Stardoll Fashion Week is over.
I am very sad, because it was keeping Stardoll alive and so much was going on - but I can only hope that Stardoll continues to be this way year around. Maybe not so hectic. But on another note, I am also very happy and pleased, mostly because it was taking over this here blog and I will finally have to make other fashion related posts and get some new writers. Secondly because of the feedback we received. It really inspired me to continue to write for you guys. I think we could all say SFW was a success.
See you here next year for coverage?
What did YOU think of SFW?

Lipstick Magazine: Review
I am honestly in shock!
Earlier today, Lipstick Magazine was released to the public and after little anticipation, Lipstick is stepping up their game. I was expecting some surprise, but this exceeding my expectations by a long shot. By a long shot. The Sept/Oct 2010 issue features Charlotte Rose as the Covergirl and although she looks nothing like herself, she does look great. A lot of retouching I assume *laughs*. She goes on to say in her Covergirl interview that she does not know why people know who she is because she's "never done anything of great importance" and that she "could not imagine her life without E". That's why you're releasing new issues left and right, huh, Charlotte? Typical elites, I tell ya'!
I was so excited when I found out that I was being featured as a model for an article featured in this issue of the magazine because of the fact that this IS a landmark issue for the brand.
Congratulations, Lipstick! Next time TTT wants an exclusive!

Stardoll Fashion Week Day 6: Ostentatious + Exclusives
Today was an amazing turnout for Stardoll Fashion Week. All of Stardoll was crazed when a surprise collection was going to be making its' debut and then everyone went even crazier (if possible) once it was released. Alice Fare (otherwise known as Hunnigall) was that surprise designer. Her surprise collection was Ostentatious.
Here's how she describes the brand:
Honestly, Alice's graphics have exceeded the limits of what people are expecting to see on Stardoll. She has raw and professional talent. She makes art. And although she only constructed five looks, they were the most executed of the week. The makeup, the fashion, the art - the dream. The runway was even more then just a propped-up floorboard. Runways help present a collection and Alice knows that. This runway was so articulate and it really created a complete vision.
Alice, I am so proud of you. You are Stardoll Fashion Week!

Here's how she describes the brand:
"For this collection I was inspired by the magic of Asia. After watching the movie Tekken (perhaps not a literal connection to asian culture, but nonetheless inspiring) I was caught by the elements of girl power. See, Tekken tells a story of a fighter, they fight for a living in times of desperation; women included, and it was this power they exuded that made me think: so what if they wear skimpy clothing? I can reinvent that; perhaps not in a sensible manner for sport, but I can sill use those elements of power and strength to create an outfit that tells a story. Particularly the shoes express how impressive and fearful a strong woman is; but also how feminine and mysterious they are. My vision was to mould my own interpretations of strength into something beautiful; and this is what was formed. Ostentatious."Alice is such a good friend of mine and seeing her succeed means everything to me because of the fact that this is really what she likes to do. It's a hobby of hers. For me and hopefully for her, this collection opens a new chapter in her career as a Stardoll and real-life designer. Her vision was a lot more powerful than practically all the collections we've seen this week. Her idea of power and strength in a piece of clothing is so much more than a sequin attached to a dress. It makes the collection so much more believable. It's what fashion is all about, the fashion should be alive.

Stardoll Fashion Week Day 6: V &T, Flawless Bridal Couture, Ribbon
V&T was one of the anticipated collections that was released by Vasia28 and Tonia.ftw today. It was a Spring line that consisted of a lot of foliage. An Eco friendly collection. I think that if I could describe this collection in one word it would have to be: smart.
The next clothing collection that was presented today during SFW was Flawless Bridal Couture. It is quite unfortunate because when disaster struck the line, only four dresses were shown. Better luck next year?
Last, but not least: Ribbon. *yawn*
Which line was your favorite?
Stardoll Fashion Week Day 6: Recherche Magazine
Earlier today many witnessed the release of the September issue of Recherche Magazine. As a lot of you may know, I am a big supporter of Recherche for many reasons. I love their consistency with issues and I love their creativity and hard work.
This could easily be the magazines most-important issue. Not only is it the September issue, but it was released during Stardoll Fashion Week. The magazine featured a boy on the cover, Nojarama. I felt like this really set it apart from other magazines that made issues public during this big event because of the fact that it was so daring and unexpected.
I loved seeing all the different cultural fashion and a lot of the articles were very informative. I felt like the Coverboy interview was a little... all over the place. But other then that, perfect! Congratulations to the team!

Stardoll Fashion Week Day 6: vaniTEEN Magazine
I am so excited to talk about this next magazine because I have seen the process and I have witnessed the hard work that went into this issue.
It's vaniTEEN! For the first and debut issue, this magazine has already made a big impact on the Stardoll fashion world today, even the entertainment industry I suppose you could say. The graphics are not the best, but they are not the worst. I was really happy to see the release of this issue because I took part in a lot of it. You can see our Prep Style competition winner, liajm featured as a model in an article that I wrote, 'Incomplete Without Elite'. This magazine will hopefully be around for quite some time. Not only am I a staff member, but a big fan at that! Be sure to click on the link dropped in this paragraph to read the whole issue, it's great!

Stardoll Fashion Week Day 5: Fantasy Couture
I am terribly sorry that this review is coming late, but the circus was in town (literally) and I was out all night. It's alright though, because it seems like only one collection was released on this day.
And that collection was... Eeleenyte10's Fantasy Couture!

And that collection was... Eeleenyte10's Fantasy Couture!
"Well, this collection isn't couture, and some pieces are casual, but the rest is more interesting and different. My biggest inspiration is nature, and this collection is about sky - wind, clouds and sunrise. Also, my inspirations are fashion designers and fashion houses like Alexander McQueen, Victor & Rolf or Versace. I try to create something different, a little weird - maybe not in first collection, but that's my biggest goal."The quote above what released by the designer herself and it is quite disappointing. When you hear the brand name Fantasy Couture, don't you expect to see some couture fashion pieces incorporated into the collection? I don't like the color scheme, I don't like the runway, and I don't like the way the pieces were styled. This collection just didn't do the brand justice.

Stardoll Fashion Week; Stay Tuned Pt.3
Looks like Tyler's Top Trends is being taken over by Stardoll Fashion Week!
We will be publishing the most developed reviews on all the collections featured in this years fashion week event. I am already loving this jam-packed week and it is keeping me busy to say the least!
Check back today for reviews on:
- 'Fantasy Couture': created by Ellen Rouge and Egle Stone
- 'vaniTEEN': owned by Noralie Meester
- 'Ribbon': designed by Christina Grubisa
P.S. I've written an article for vaniTEEN so look for that. And sources are telling us that designer Hunnigall WILL have a collection showcased during Stardoll Fashion Week!
Stardoll Fashion Week Day 4: The E Empire
Continuing the coverage for SFW, this new collection is very luxurious. HOWEVER, I do have quite a bit I would like to say about it. Remember, blogging is all about opinions.
'The E Empire' was made public today and each model that walked down the runway looked like a million bucks. The collection consists of six pieces all created and designed by evita.sweet. The runaway was very detailed (unlike some runways we've seen this week) and I could tell that Eva really wants her time in the spotlight. She wants to show people what she is capable of and she did.
BUT.
She really didn't get the proportions right. I know this has nothing to do with the collection and clothing at all - which is what he want to focus on, but it is kind of hard to when the models body looks dismantled in them. I would half to say that Eva's collection was the most processed of the five we've already seen, and I do think that her graphic skills are also up there with some of the higher ranked designers. Even the color and cut of the gowns stood up, however, I felt she was lacking a little bit of patience.

What are your thoughts on The E Empire?
Stardoll Fashion Week Day 4: color.fashion.chic
From what I hear, today was not the best day for SFW. Allure Magazine didn't get released, which could potentially affect the brand and there was many delays. However, there were two collections that shined and of course, Tyler's Top Trends is here to review them!
Today, color.fashion.chic made its' debut. This could possibly be the biggest collection that Stardoll Fashion Week has seen so far, I loved it - actually. I could tell that there was a lot of work put into the whole creation process and obviously, the owner deserves her credit!
Here's what she had to say about the line:
"Autumn is a combination of different colors. They are intense and beautiful. In my collection are clothes in the colors of autumn leaves, and cool colors. I am inspired by clothes from 50s and 60s, but there are also modern and classical elements. The style of my collection is feminine and elegant and there are a lot of floral motifs."Click here to view the rest of the collection yourself!
